"I wanna feel you," she told him over the phone. "You will one day, just be patient, one day I'll be there for you and we won't have to wait." Is the only thing he could tell her. They had been talking for awhile now, and from the start felt something strong. "I can't wait any longer, I need you now," her cry for help made him weak, he wasn't used to a woman needing him like this. Especially one he loved so much, "Just have trust in me, I promise when the day comes, it will be worth it." He wouldn't tell her, but he was losing his mind just as much as she was losing hers. "I just want to know what it feels like, your hand in mine, and my lips on your body..." She was hungry for him and she had hidden it long enough. "My body needs you now, you've already supplied my mind." She told him with a whisper, he couldn't do anything but reply with, "I need you too."
A couple of months had passed since that one phone call, she was still waiting for him and he for her. The love they had was too strong to give up on each other, they had no choice but to hold on. They started to talk less and less, but in their hearts they remembered. The long talks they had and the fantasies they've fantasized, all the days they wanted each other. It seems the longer they went without one another, the more they needed to be together. He got a job, and it took most of his time, she still thought of him during the day, and even more at night. She tried to reach out to him as often as she could, it was hard because she wanted him so bad, but, she had to let him know what was going on in her head. He'd hardly reply, but she knew he wouldn't. Though something about that, drew her to him even more.
Many nights she'd reminisce on conversations they had, how important he made her feel when he did open up to her. "Finally, I found someone who is worth waiting for," is all she could think about. It's as if she knew it was destined to be, they would be together one day. So she took his advice and she waited, and prayed. He told her where he worked and he finally said he loved her. She thought she loved him before but, something about those words coming from his mouth that made her feel so complete. Something in those three words meant something so important to her. She'd never felt it before, so when he said it, a tear fell down her cheek. She was happier than she had ever been, and it was all because of him.
So for two months she tried to find ways to see him, she couldn't lose her faith. No matter how long it took, she had to have him in front of her face-to-face. Her birthday was coming up so she asked him to meet her, he said he wish he could but he had to work. The feeling she felt when he told her that her plans wouldn't come through, made her feel so empty. She had been looking forward to finally being able to hold him, or at least look in his eyes. So she was determined to not let their plans mess up once again. No matter what obstacles got in her way, she had to see him. So a day after her birthday, she got a ride to his job, the look on his face the feeling in her stomach. She couldn't believe it was true. He was right there, right in front of her, finally there was no screen and no wires keeping them connected. The look in his eyes, the smile on his face, the way he tried to stay calm, she could tell he was happy, but he couldn't let it show fully.
There were so many things she wanted to say to him, but nothing would come out. A few seconds of silence, as they looked and smiled at one another. He had no idea she was coming, so it was to his surprise that she showed up. Happy yet disappointed because he couldn't take his break, so they couldn't really talk. Though her just being there, that's all that really mattered. He wanted to be able to kiss her, just in case he wouldn't see her again, but he couldn't. She wanted him to kiss her also, but, a counter separated them. "Hello," she finally said and questions finally started to come out his mouth, "You just showed up?" she answered with a, "Yes." Both of them smiling with big grins, "When?" she didn't really want this to be the only conversation they had, but it was better than nothing. "I love you" is what she wanted to say but, she was too stunned by his eyes. So instead, she answered his questions, before he went back to work.
"Look at that smile, those eyes, his body, he's too perfect for me. He looks even better than in his pictures, I wonder what he's thinking. What was his first thought when he saw me? Is he happy as me? Maybe I should have told him...No, it was better this way. I can tell by his eyes, oh...His eyes." She smiled as she was thinking and staring at him as he worked. Wondering what was on his mind as he saw her still standing there. "He's shaking his head at me," she laughed a bit. "He probably can't believe I showed up, I mean, I can't either." She couldn't stop thinking how she actually was seeing him in front of her. Not wanting to leave because of the reality of him being in the same room as her, she loved it. She had to go, but she didn't want to leave without saying goodbye. He was busy though, so she looked at him one last time with a smile, hoping she'd see him once again soon. She watched him as she walked away, but he didn't see her leave. "I wonder what he'll think when he looks up and sees I'm gone. I just left and I already want to see him again. How can that be?" She couldn't wipe the smile off of her face, the day she had been waiting for, the day they've been waiting for, finally happened.
