Italian Desire [Intro]
|
[[Hey, hey! I'm back to writing. I've had inspiration. I've been on a Twilight kick, which gave me motivation to keep writing about Brett and Carla. I took Stephenie Meyer's idea about giving the vampire's side of the story. So, Italian Desire is Brett's side of "Blue Eyed Wonder." It starts about a week before he comes to the school, so you get a look inside the life of a vampire. Before people start saying "This is an awful lot like Twilight," understand this; I realize that. Stephenie Meyer is where I get my idea's of vampire's from. The only reason my storylines seem similar is because I use her general idea of vampires. My actual plot lines have nothing to do. Yes, I did borrow (I say borrow, because I'm crediting everything to Stephenie right now.) the whole "mind reading" thing. But it was the only power. Anywhos, if you're going to say something along the lines of "This is similar to Twilight I may not keep you posted. You have to understand this... Anyways, I've kept you waiting long enough. Here you go, loves. :) ]]
Intro
Brett stared absent-mindedly out the car window. Three years past, another moving trip.
"Oh the joys of being a vampire," Brett thought sarcastically.
"Just hush up," his father snapped from the driver's seat.
Brett's father, James, didn't favor the idea of a family of vampires. But he had no choice. He had been one since 1896, his kids following suit only two years later. It's not the life he had chosen for them, but it was the only way to keep them safe.
"I think it's a wonderful experience," Aribella, Brett's energetic twin sister, stated while fiddling with the radio nob. "Getting to travel all over the country, seeing new places. It's joyous."
Brett rolled his eyes and grabbed his iPod and shoved his ear buds in, blaring the music. He couldn't stand this anymore. Having to move every three or four years to keep people from talking.
He just had to become the monsterous creature who suffers immortality. He's been stuck in a pubescent 17-year-old boy's body for a dreaded 110 years. It was getting ridiculous.
He let himself continue staring out, thinking of the possible dangers waiting for him in little suburban East Manchester, Pennsylvania.
