My 17th birthday (part 6)

I turned and looked at Ciara. She just looked down at her hands that were in her lap. So I looked back up at Shade and seen that pleasing look in his eyes again. I got up and Shade took me across the walk way to another concrete wall and we sat down. “Baby. Me and you known each other for a year. And I just can’t see myself living without you in life. That’s why I brought this ring.” Shade said holding my hands and looking deep into my eyes. “Yea but. Don’t you think this is going kind of too fast? I mean yea we known each other for a year, but over the internet. This is our first time seeing each other. I’m sorry but this whole thing needs to go slow. Its just too much for me.” I said. “Well can I give you this ring and until you are ready, we can go slow for a while.” He said taking the ring out of the box. “Yea I would like that. So does this mean me and you are committed?” “Yea baby.” After He said that, we looked at each other for a long minute and then Shade got down on his knees.

“Lala Camille Johnson, will you marry this fine ass boy that’s down on his knee for you?” Shade said laughing. “Uhhh.. ..baby? I don’t see any fine ass boy on his knee. All I see is you.. .. ..Nah I’m just playing. Yes I will!” I’m sorry. I just had to say something! It’s my specialty! “Oh okay. Bout to say.” He said putting the ring on my finger. Then getting up, taking my hand and helping me up from the wall. Then we just hugged for like five minutes. After, me and Shade looked over to where Ciara was and we seen Her and Cameron Talking, laughing, and everything you could think of! For me, I was kind of mad. So me and Shade walked over to where they were. “I see you two are getting along real well.” Shade said smiling. “Yea. Getting alone really good.” Then Ciara looked at me and smirked. Now that was not called for! She know what she was doing all along! But it’s all good. I got my man, and she got my crush.. Old crush actually. Afterwards, we all went back into the food court and had lunch.

“So babe. I’ve been thinking. Since it’s your birthday, you should have a relaxing day to yourself.” Shade said wiping his hands on a napkin. “Yea I should have a relaxing day to myself. Ciara what do you think? Think me and you can have a girls night tonight?” I said looking at Ciara. Then Shade cut in. “Nah I wasn’t talking bout you and CC doing each other’s nails and junk; I meant you should go to a spa.” He said. “ I don’t have no money for no spa!” Right then, I was looking at Shade like he was crazy! “Who said you was gonna pay for it? I’m gonna pay baby. You and Ciara can go tomorrow.” He said nodding his head towards Ciara. “Yea! That would be great!” I was so happy!!! “Yea. And after your spa day or whatever, I need to talk to you.” He said looking really serious. “Hmmm.. I wonder what he want to talk to you about Lala.. Or do.” Ciara said smiling and laughing. “You funny. Really funny.” I said sarcastically. Just then, I got a text message from Jessica telling me she want me to come over to my granddad house. “Ay I got to go.” “Where you going baby?” Shade said getting up. “Got to go to my granddad house.” “Okay. Well I’ll call you later. Me and Cameron is going to hang out a little bit. Take your little friend with you to.” He said coming near me. “Nah bra she staying with us.” Cameron said smiling at Ciara. “Well whatever. Bye. Love you baby.” I said hugging and kissing Shade. Just as I pulled away, he pulled me back to him. “I’m really happy I seen you.” He said. “ Yea me too.” Then we kissed some more. “Get a room!” Ciara said laughing. “Okay Shade. I got to go. Bye.” I said and walked back out the doors to my car. When I got in, Hurricane Chris song was on the radio.. Hand clap. So I turned the music up all the way again and left the parking lot going towards my granddad house thinking of Shade! Im thinking this is the best birthday ever!
