All Theses Things That I've Done:Chapter 2 The Fast Lane

Drama Created on 6-11-08 Views(13) Story Rating G

After a few weeks of waiting the original creator of the band, Paul (who was a great base player) chose me and Tony for an awesome threesome.I was lead guitarist and singer. Tony was drummer and Paul was base guitar. We created great songs and after a summer of righting and playing we started seeing posters for the battle of the bands. We all new we would win. We had to win. We sat and began to think of what we should play. Each band could play two songs. We decided to play a song called Kimberly, that I had written. It was a baled and i really liked it. The other one we decided to play was Run to the Hills by Iron Maiden. We knew we would rock.

We practiced and after a few weeks it was time. We were the third band to play out of ten. We played Kimberly and I looked out into the crowd and saw her standing there, waving a lighter like everyone else. She smiled at me and I loved it. My relationship with Kimberly was, well not very intemate. All she let me do was kiss. But I could wait. I could wait for her. I loved her. When we finished the song, the croud cheered. It was a good feeling. Then the host walked onto the stage and said "Lets give it up for...uh."

Then I realized we had no name. I said something random "The Magnificent....um"

"The Magnificent!" the host interupted and pushed us behind the curtain.

We were all nervous waiting. We needed to wait ten more acts untill our second song, but we could tell the other bands weren't quite as good. Then we heard a band called Television Feet. They were good. They played some metal and brought the house down. Then out from behind the curtain stepped out the band. The drummer was a kid I knew from school named Tom Hooper. He was such a little ass hole. Everyone hated him. He was a jock, but all he did was show off and even the girls hated him. He shoved me when he walked by but I ignored him.

Then was our act. When we were introduced the crowd went crazy and my adrenilen started boiling in me when we started. The drums going. Then the guitar. me and Paul went all out, and I started singing with a voice I'd never heard. It was so deep and I loved it. When the intro ended we all started played twice as loud and the crowd loved it! They were all jumping and screaming and head banging. Then I had my solo. I took it twice as long and we went ahead and each did our own solo even though the song requested one. Then  we jumped behind the curtain and the crowd wouldn't stop screaming for more. I new what to play. After consulting my band mates we walked onto the stage. And began to play Good Times, Bad Times by Led Zeppelin.

It was the best performance we ever made and when we jumped behind the curtain again and the crowd had and even bigger cheer than before, we wanted to play again but the host wouldn't let us. Television Feet played once more but were so nervous they were booed off the stage.

We were anounced winners and given a hundred bucks. Then I jumped off the stage and kissed Kimberly. Then we left and went back to my house. My parents weren't home so I threw quite a party. It was me, Kimberly, Tony, his girlfriend Sam, and Paul. We were hanging out in my gurage. And I walked Kimberly to my room and we began to get "personal".

Sudenly there was a ring at the door bell and I went to the door. it was some guy I didn't know who looked at me funny.

"Is your brother home?" the man said

    "I don't have a brother." I told him "May I ask who's asking?"

"Wait are you Cody Maroon?" he asked me.

    "Yes, whos asking?"

"I exspected you to be...older. How old are you?"

"I'm almost fourteen, whats with the questions, and who are you?!"

"I'm George Stillton from Harlington Records down in Boston and we had somone tell us you guys are great! You are the singer from The Magnificent aren't you?"

After that, everything happened so fast, we went down to Boston, all of us, we moved down there, and we lived a hecteck life. At sixteen our first album came out. I had a hole new look now and different friends and girls. I didn't see Kimberly but I wrote. What I didn't tell her is that I was touching and licking and well, doing things to other girls while she was studying. Suddenly we were living in a nicer house. We were eating at nicer places. Wearing nicer clothes. And pretty soon my parents only loved me for my money. When I graduated. We moved to a more well known record company and began to go on tour. And was given different things and did different things and was different.
