Jodie's Stars (8)

Jodie’s Stars (8)
Jodie arrived at the airport with nothing but her purse and a suitcase. This was as close to a getaway from Kolton that she would get. She boarded the private jet to see Micheal already sitting on one side with a newspaper. He was reading it intensely.
She took my seat on the other side. It was just going to be him, a flight attendant, and her for hours.
She took out my sidekick and checked some emails before they took off. The flight attendant came in and went through safety procedure and then they were off.
She decided to listen to her ipod and leave conversation for later. She didn’t want to run out of things to say and risk looking stupid to Micheal.
She played an old Aerosmith song “Amazing” and it put her to sleep. She woke up to Micheal shaking her.
“What?” Jodie asked groggily.
“I have had a break though!” he smiled ecstatically. “I have the perfect plot!”
“Oh, really? Tell me.” she said. Micheal was also one of the writers for the show.
“Rita will get set on a bounty hunter misson to Mexico. Then she’ll have a love affair with a local, only to find out it’s the guy she’s looking for! She’ll have to choose work or love!” he said excited. The stewardess brough in a fruit drink and sat it next to Jodie.
“Wow! I like that pitch.” She told him. Then she took a swig of the fruit concoction.
“Great! And I was thinking since you’re going out with that Kolton guy, he can play him as a guest star!”he suggested. Jodie choked on the drink.
“What?” she said shocked.
“You and Kolton doing a romance scene! The chemistry will be great! It will looks so real!” he grinned happy with himself. NO! The chemistry would be horrible! She thought.
“Ummm…yeah sure.” She smiled sarcastically.
“What? You don’t like that idea?” He looked seriously.
“I suggest you hold a casting call. You need to get a no name. We can make it like an ongoing thing. Rita lets the guy go and they meet up in different places. Kolton is a musician, he can’t commit to that.” Jodie tried to get him off the subject.
“Wow, Jodie! You could be a writer! I love that idea.” He beamed. He went and sat down on his side of the plane and took out his laptop. He started to tap away at it. The new script was going to be a long one.
Finally after hours of listening to various scripts Micheal had pitched, the plane had landed in New, York.
It was nighttime and the city was lit of beautifully. They got into a limo and Jodie looked through the sun roof. She couldn’t believe how enchanting it was. There were so many variations of illuminations that they looked like they were some kind of still standing fireworks show.
They arrived at the hotel and were bombarded with paparazzi. Kolton was going to know where she was for sure. They walked pass the crowd and a bellboy ran out to get their luggage.
They walked into the lobby. It was huge, decorated in a green color that could only be described as emerald brilliance. It looked like spectacular square cut jewels lining the walls, tiles, tables, and counters. Every once in a while there were splashes of silver. It took Jodie’s breath away as had did the city lights. She couldn’t wait to see her room.
They didn’t have to check in because of their status. The bellboy led them right up to the 22nd floor. The elevator was decorated with the same green and the floor was almost see though but glitter shadowed it.
Once there, the bellhop opened Jodie’s door first. The rooms theme was black, but not in a gothic way. It was sophisticated and luxurious.
A huge faux zebra couch sat in front of a television and had a massive sound system. Also there was a window seat that Jodie could sit at and stare at the skyline. Jodie’s favorite snacks were piled up high on the coffee table.
The research these people did on their guest astonished her. Skittles, Pixie Sticks, Zero Bars, and Milky ways were piled on one side and the other was Cheddar and Sour Crème chips and nuts.
If she opened the fridge in the corner she knew it would have Mountain Dew, Dr, Pepper, and Fruit Punch. The bellboy placed a beeper on the end table.
“I hope you enjoy your stay, Mrs. Moore. I am your personal help if you need me. Just use that.” He smiled leaving the room.
She had to see the fridge just to know. She opened it and of course there they were. She laughed. There was also fudge pudding and cherry jello. These people really aimed to please.
She went to the bedroom to be stunned again. The bed had a huge canopy and was also zebra printed. She looked around for the television in there but didn’t see it. Well, that sucks. But she noticed a television remote. She clicked the power button on it. From the inside of the canopy the TV came down from the frame. It was a flat panel and as long as the queen sized bed. Wow!
There were more surprises to this place every second. She went to the bathroom and saw that they hadn’t stopped in here with the technology. Built into the wall above the tub (which was a big as a hot tub) was another television. Jodie hated TV but she was going to have to try this.
Next to the tub was a dispense machine with dials that said: milk, salt, and bubbles on it. She pushed bubbles and instantly the tub came on and filled up with a bubble bath.
She stripped down and got in. She had to get one of these back home. When it felt her weight a massage feature came on. This was great! One of the many perks of being a star.
She laid there watching the Late Night Show and then got out. She knew that the bed was going to feel so good because she was really sleepy. She got in and noticed how soft it was. Tomorrow she was going to see the city with Micheal hopefully. She fell asleep instantly.
