                Now or Never

                    Part:one

As I sat in the classroom waiting for the bell to ring, I sat staring at Jacob’s amazing beauty. He was the guy of my dreams; popular, sexy, smart and was caption of the “Ravens” basketball team. Over the years I watched him grow into an amazing person, but I never gotten the chance to tell him how amazing I think he truly is. Now I’m sitting here on the last day of school (senior year) contemplating on whether to tell him. See I wasn’t the most popular or the most beautiful girl at school, but I like who I am I wouldn’t change it for anyone. The bell rang snapping me back to reality all of my books were scramble all over the desk; I struggled to grab them because they were so big and heavy.

I wonder why Jacob even came to school today; being that we graduated three days ago, it was probably the same reason I came to school today (to say goodbye to everyone, but in my case I meant Jacob.)After I grasped my books, I stood and waked to the front of the classroom and handed them to Mrs. Hunter. “Goodbye Mrs. Hunter, it was a pleasure to be in your class.” I said with a smile. “The pleasure was all mines Ms. Henderson” she replied as she took the books out of my hands and sat them on the desk in front of her. I smiled and walked out of the almost vacant classroom.

I stood in the door way looking down the hall where Jacob and some of the guys from the basketball team were standing. I checked my breath before proceeding down the hall where he was standing; my heart began pounding at a rapid speed, the palms of my hands started to perspire and the butterflies in my stomach started fluttering as if they were at a butterfly convention. I stopped walking to gasp in what I was about to do; it was perfect timing and it was now or never. I continued walking until I reached Jacob and his friends. I took a deep relaxing breath before saying “Hi Jacob” with a slight smile; which made it known that I was nervous.

“What’s up Ashley?” he replied. My eyes widened as he said my name, because I didn’t know that he knew it. I waved at the rest of his crew as I said “Hi guys”. Some of them replied and some didn’t. I didn’t care, because I wasn’t there for them I was there for Jacob. I turned back around “Can I talk to you for a minute in Private Jacob?” I asked. Jacob turned to his friends and said “I’ll meet you guys at the car.” he said. They shook their heads turned and around and walked down the hallway. When I felt as thought hey were a far enough distance I began to talk.

“Jacob, I just wanted to say that I think that you’re an amazing person and really talented. I promised myself that I would tell you how I feel before we went our separate ways and the truth is I always had a big crush on you and It won’t seem to go away for anything. I just thought that you should know that.” Jacob hesitated for a brief moment before saying “Thanks.” I thought to myself “that’s all he has to say is thanks?” I shook my head up and down before walking past him and down the hallway.

“Well that didn’t pan out the way I wanted it, but before I could utter the word too I felt a gentle hand on the back of my waist. I turned around to find Jacob standing there. I opened my mouth to say something, but my words were replaced by his lips. (He kissed me) I couldn’t believe it, it was better than the ones in my dreams, because this time it was actually happening.  I closed my eyes and felt the intimacy. We gently stopped kissing and looked at each other. “What was that for?” I asked in a low voice, because he seemed to have taking my breath away. “You tell me” he replied with a smile as he walked past me and down the hall. I stood there in shock before remembering that I had to go pick up my sister from school.

 It was the perfect ending to the School year for me, but a disaster for the rest of the year now knowing that he would be on my mind more than ever.
