                                                            Part 2

I picked it up and put it into my bra, being that it was a small phone, because see my father has a way of being really nosey. “So daddy what did you bring me this time?” I asked “well the only ice-cream that was on sell was strawberry cheesecake.” He replied. “Well that good enough.” I walked over to the kitchen table and had a seat. “Daddy can I ask you something?” I asked and he replied “Sure Anything!” After he put all of the groceries up he came and had a seat next to me. I looked around the whole kitchen, before looking him dead in the face. I kept contemplating on whether to ask him what’s really going on between him and jack’s dad, but I could tell that this wasn’t the right moment. “Daddy do you ever think about mom?” I asked “Sure all the time” He replied.

“How you barely even have time to visit her grave?” My mother died from breast cancer, because she never wanted to go to the hospital to get treated. She never wanted to leave me, she was convinced that I needed her around; she died when I was twelve. My father never really had gotten her death that’s why he’s so over protective when it comes to me. “I’ve just been really busy lately” He replied.

“Well how is it that you’d rather sell cars then go visit the mom’s grave, I thought you loved her” I asked. “I do” he replied. “Well can we at least starting visiting her grave I mean how much time can you possibly need it’s been Six year and in a few month I’m going off to college and you need some closure. I really would want to leave you here by your self when I’m going Mom and I would both want you to move you. I mean I want you to be happy.” I said.

“I am happy” he replied “oh yeah then why is it that you haven’t smiled or did anything to enjoy yourself in six years?” He couldn’t answer. I grabbed his hand and held it close to my heart. “Dad you can’t keep living like this I won’t allow it. I mean you raised a strong woman and I know deep down inside I know that you’re still a strong man; so can you do that for me. I might not be here, but I would want to see you happy when I came home for my college break.” I said and he replied “Okay”. I stood, kissed him on the cheek and walked out of the kitchen.

I walked over to the stair case and grabbed hold of the railing. I mean my mother would touch it everyday for good luck for some reason. It was the only piece of her that I had left. I began walking up the stepping and sliding my hand across the hard wood to see if I could feel anything, but I couldn’t. Once I reach the top I walked all the way to the end of the hallway and went inside my room. I still had a report that I hadn’t finished.
