After a year away from my friends I decided to call Katie.

"Katie?"

"Vanesa!"

"Hey Im finally back from North Carolina. Im staying in Gatesvile for now on."

"Really?"

"Yes"

"Hey do you want to go to the pool with me?" she ask.

"Yes I'll put on my swimsuit and you can come and pick me up"

"Okay I'll see you later bye"

We hung up. Me and Katie have been besties since 3rd grade. I told my mom and dad that I'll be back that I was going to the pool with Katie. Dad gave me money and I quickly got ready. As soon as I was finish with packing I heard the door bell ring. I quickly ran to the door.

"Vanesa!"

"Katie!"

We both said hugging each other. I told her to hold on and went to go get my stuff. We got in the car.

"So who is all comeing?" I ask

"Oh well I ask if a couple of people could come but they were all busy and the only one who is going is James"

"James? So how is he doing?"

"He is doing fine. He still remembers that you and him still have a rematch since you beat him in pole dacning"

"HAHAH! cant belive he is still mad about that"

We finally got to the pool. I look around not much has change. I heard Katie yell James name. I payed my way inside. I set my stuff on a chair and took off my clothes. I kind of felt inscure about myself. Everyone always told me that I have the sexiest body ever but I always thought that they were lying to me. I look at the water and was scared. Katie then pulled me in the pool.

"AHHHHHH!" I screamed.

Katie laugh.

"Hey James here is Vanesa"

I look up and saw James. Wow! James look hot. I remember him being hot last time but now he is even hotter. He had that golden tan, six pack, and the nicest smirk I've seen.

"James?"

"Vanesa?"

"Wow" he said

"Wow yourself"

We look at each other. He quickly turn away. Was I ugly?

"So you want to go for a swim?" Katie ask

"Ummm Katie?"

"Yeah?"

"I cant swim" I whispered in her ear.

She laugh "Are you telling the truth?"

"Yes"

After that Katie spent a long time trying to teach me how to swim. I couldnt get the hang of it. I really didnt talk to James that much. All I know that he was in football, track, and baseball. He ask me what I've been doing I told him that in my old school that I did cheerleading. He laugh cause I was never the girl who does cheerleading. I was a girl who love to paly football with the guys. Other than that he spent a lot of time away from me and Katie. It was getting dark.

"Lets go home" Katie said to me.

"Okay"

We got out of the pool and James said goodbye. I got my things and we walk to her car.

"It's weird that James wasn't talking to me today"

"Why?" I ask

"Cause we are bother and sister(friends)"

"Oh"

"I dont like him like the other girls do. Is that we always been bother and sister since you left us."

"You dont like him?"

"No! ewww he's my brother"

"Okay"

I got home and all I could think of was James. School starts in 2 days. My mom comes in my room and tells me that tomarrow I have church. I set my alarm.
