I was still very weak from the accident but after a few days I was coming around pretty good. My parents were there everyday checking on me because they had both taken a few days off work. My sister came every other day so she could keep up with her work.

“Hey so what about a private nurse?” My father asked the doctor.

“Daddy!” I yelled.

“Baby… we cant afford a private nurse remember?” My mother said to him.

My dad’s facial expression changed. I guess he was still thinking he could spend as much as he wanted whenever he wanted.

“Its fine daddy. I don’t need a private nurse… besides, if I’m home then you guys are gonna go back to work and leave me all alone.” I said trying to lighten the mood.

“yeah I guess.” My dad said.

“Hey, lets go get some lunch.” My mom said to my daddy. “We’ll bring you something back.” She said to me.

“Okay that’s fine.” I replied.

“Okay, we’ll be back in about half an hour.”

“okay.”

They left and I began reading a book that Anita brought me. I actually liked it. It was about a girl who was so spoiled by her dad that he gave her everything she wanted. Then she started disobeying him and disrespecting him. I’m on the part now where her boyfriend is telling her that a crooked cop killed her father. It’s really sad…

[knock knock!]

“Come in!”

I looked up and saw the very last person I wanted to see at that point. Sean.

“What?!” I yelled toward the doorway.

“I just… wanted- I mean needed to see you… to make sure you’re okay.” He stuttered.

“I’m fine. Bye!” I yelled again without missing a beat.

He came in and shut the door behind him. “please talk to me. I feel terrible. I feel so fuckin’ bad and I know why…but…”

“But what? Ran out of people to take advantage of? How sad… Get out!”

“I’m sorry Mia! Okay? I’m so sorry. It’s not like me and I know I fucked up but… I’m sorry.”

“Oh yeah? Sorry huh? Well guess what, sorry don’t mean shit. Sorry aint helpin me out of this hospital bed. Sorry wont give me my virginity back. Sorry don’t take the pain away. Sorry? Fuck sorry!”

He was quiet.

“Nothing to say huh? Good. Now get the fuck out of me room before I have to get security on your ass!”

He didn’t waste anytime getting out of my face. I was glad he got the point because I was holding back the tears and as soon as the door shut behind him I let them go.
