[part 2 chapter 1]


I felt Jalil getting out of bed but I wasn’t ready to move yet. He had to be to work an hour before me so therefore he had to wake up earlier. Though I normally cooked breakfast so I woke up at the same time.

“It’s early…” I said grabbing his arm.

“I know that baby but we have to get up.” He said in a soft voice.

“Umm no.”

He laughed softly. “We go through this every morning.”

“I’m not a morning person.” I replied.

“I know that too.” He leaned over and kissed my neck then he started sucking on it. We went through this almost every morning.

I giggled and sat up straight. “Okay I’m up!”

“Shower?”

I nodded and we went and got into the shower together. When we got out I put on a tank top and some shorts and Jalil got dressed for work.

I went and woke Jordan up and told her to go brush her teeth and wash her face. She had to leave with Jalil today and I would let her make him late.

I went into the kitchen and made bacon, eggs, and waffles. I poured the orange juice and made both of their plates. I wasn’t hungry so as soon as I was done I called both of them to come and eat and I went back into the room for another half hour of sleep.

When I woke up Jordan and Jalil were completely dressed and were just about to walk out the door.

“Bye mommy!” Jordan yelled running to give me a hug and a kiss.

“Bye baby!” I kissed her on the cheek. “Be good. I’ll pick you up later okay?”

She nodded and ran back toward the door. I followed behind her and Jalil grabbed me and kissed me passionately.

“I love you.” He said.

“I love you too.” I replied.

He ran his hand through my hair and kissed me again. Jordan was outside and didn’t see this. When we were done I locked the door and went to my room to find something to wear to work.

I decided on a black shirt and a dressy light blue shirt. I ironed the skirt but the shirt was so silky that it didn’t wrinkle.

I went and fixed my hair and then I got dressed and headed out the door for the long day ahead.

All those college class had paid off because now I was a psychologist. I had always wanted to be one and look at me now.

I walked into my office and checked my messages. I had 3 and I checked them all. None were extremely important though.

It was now almost 10:00 and my first appointment was at 10:15. I decided to run down the hall to the kitchen area and get a cup of coffee and a doughnut.

“Hey Destiny!” A friend of mine from work called as I walked into the kitchen.

“Hey Ranae! I love your hair!” I said pouring some coffee.

“You do? I don’t. I wanted my curls smaller.” She said rolling her eyes in the air to no one in particular. She was so dramatic.

“Oh you mean like spirals?”

“Yes!” She said with her eyes widening. “That’s exactly what I wanted!”

I snickered and finished putting sugar and cream into my cup. Then I grabbed a doughnut and headed out.

“Well I gotta go. I have an appointment in a few.”

“Okay.”

I headed down the hall and into my office still eating my doughnut and sipping my coffee.

After a few minutes I glanced at my clock. 10:15.
