Beep… Beep… Beep…

So this is what the end looks like?

“… So is she… I mean will she… wake up?”

The voice seemed so far away, but I recognized it instantly. Daddy?

I heard myself say it but for some reason I had a feeling he couldn’t hear me.

I wanted to cry but who would see my pain?

“… and that’s really all I can say so far. It’ll take a miracle. Lets pray for one.” I heard a feminine voice say.

I then heard a door closing and that made me believe she was gone.

The faint crying sounded like my mothers, and although I couldn’t hear her, I knew my sister was there too.

“This is all my fault.” Daddy said. “If I would have just told her to come home…”

Nobody said a word. Why the hell isn’t anyone saying anything?

I wanted so badly to tell them that I loved them, but I couldn’t.

I drifted out of the conversation and it felt as I was being pulled into a different direction. I wanted to scream but who would hear me?

Instead I watched the different colors form and all the different swirls captivated me. Then…

I slowly blinked my eyes open. I saw daddy, mommy, and Anita too!

I couldn’t talk and they didn’t even see that my eyes had opened. I tried to smile but it hurt to smile. It hurt to see those pained expressions on everyone’s face the most. They all looked so… depressed.

My Dad was leaned up against the wall and was looking up at the ceiling. My mother had her eyes covered with her hands as she sobbed into them. And then Nita was… looking right at me?

She beamed with excitement as she ran up to me and hugged me.

My dad still didn’t see that I was awake because she was blocking his view of me.

“Nita what are you…” His voice trailed off as he came over and looked me in the eyes. “Baby you’re awake!” He threw his arms around me too and at that moment my mother shot up from her crying.

“Oh my…” She looked up at the ceiling. “Thank you!”

Sorry this one is so short. I've neglected this story and I'm really sorry for those of you who like it. I got a little side tracked!

But tomorrow, there's no school and guess who's gonna post EXTRA chapters just for you?!?!?!
