After the wedding, we had the reception. It turned out better than we thought it would. By that I mean it was a drama free zone. Nobody got into an argument and for that I was truly thankful.
The reception was two hours long and then we had to be at the airport to make it to our flight in time.
“So how’s life as Mrs. Smith going so far?” DayDay asked, just as we stepped foot out of the party and into the limo.
I laughed.
“I’m lovin every second baby”
“Good.” He kissed me again.
I looked him into his eyes. “I’m really happy” I said.
“I’m happy when you happy”
“Then you must be one overly happy individual”
He let out that sexy laugh of his and we talked the whole ride to the airport.
We went through inspection and had to wait about fifteen minutes in the waiting area before we were able to board our flight. I turned around for a split second and something strange caught my eye. Actually… someone.
Jabarri?
I turned my head so that he wouldn’t know I was onto him. I didn’t really feel safe knowing he had followed me to the airport. If he didn’t want me to see him, then maybe he had been planning to fly to Hawaii with us. Maybe he had a plan to do something to us.
I immediately got uncomfortable. Should I tell DayDay? What would happen?
I thought about it for a minute and then thought against it. Maybe I hadnt seen him.
I turned back to where I had been looking before. He wasn’t there.
Nerves, that’s what it is.
I wasn’t a hundred percent satisfied with my conclusion. But for now, it would have to do.
“Flight 671, boarding now” the lady over the intercom buzzed into my ears and broke my thinking process.
DayDay was over at the concession stand and when he heard that, he glanced my way to make sure I was up. When he saw that I was, he finished up what he was doing, and then came over to me.
“You ready? Got everything?”
“Umhumm” I replied softly.
“What’s wrong? He asked looking concerned.
I looked around one final time before picking up my bag. “Nothing, nothing at all”
