last night unwed...

I opened up the next gift that was sitting in the big pile. The party had been going on for about an hour now and It was so much fun. Alot of my family was there (the females), and practically all of my friends. There was so much food that It felt like a buffet.

"Okay. This one's from... Jacklyn?" I looked for her in the many faces surrounding me and when I spotted her she had a huge grin on her face.

Jacklyn was a girl who I'd known for about 3 years now. We had homeroom and chemistry together in highschool, and the girl was a freak. So I had no problem believing what I had pulled out of her gift bag.

"hand cuffs and a red and black victorias secret thong and bra set?!" I laughed hysterically and then opened up some more gifts. Everyone got me crazy but nice things.

Just when I thought the party was over there was a knock at the door.

I went to go open it and there was a police officer standing there.

"Ma'am we got a noice complaint"

"Really? wow, we werent that loud..."

"Actually, im gonna have to escort you down town"

"Excuse-"

He picked me up and carried me into the room. Everyone was laughing...

They had gotton a stripper...

"Damn D-man... I cant believe you gettin married" Said Jojo.

"I kno riite" Said their friend scotty.

DayDay laughed and just leaned back in his chair.

A few people they chill with was there. About 12 of them. They were drinking and smoking. The usual.

"So you know, since im the best man, I had to make your last night as a single man special"

"How you figga dat? I aint been single in months"

"You know what I mean, your last night as a bachelour man"

DayDay laughed and then there was a knock at the door.

"I wonder who that could be" Jojo said walking to the door and opening it.

3 woman in long black coats came in. After only being in the room for five seconds they dropped the coats to reveal what they had on. Black hooker heels and matching thongs.

DayDay sat back unfazed as they made their way toward him.

And then this day came...

"Im so nervous, mommy!" I was standing in front of the mirror of my dressing room. Staring at my reflection.

"Dont be, you love him. Everyone knows it. You are the most beautiful bride to ever walk down an aisle... nobody can tell you different baby." She was standing behind me. looking at me over my shoulder into the mirror.

I smiled nervously. It was almost that time. In five minutes, I'd be walking down that aisle. I'd be saying 'I do' shortly after. I'd be crying and laughing. I'd be with the man I love.

I turned around and gave my mother one last hug before stepping down and making my way towards the others who had to walk the walk before me.

Brandi looked so pretty in her little light blue dress. "Corrin you look pretty"

I smiled. "So do you sweety. are you nervous?"

She nodded. "A little bit"

I knealt down to kiss her on the cheek. "Dont be, you look absolutely fantabulas!"

She laughed and hugged me tight.

Rissa, tracey, and Shawnny all came my way. "Its that time" Tracey said.

I was still behind the curtain so they couldnt see me as the doors opened and Brandi walked out and down the aisle. Rissa and Tracey followed soon behind.

Shawnny hugged me tight and smiled a huge smile. "You look beautiful. I know this is your last few seconds before getting married, so I just wanna take this time to say... I couldnt ask for a better bestfriend."

I hugged her again. "Neither could I. I realized that every hard time we've been through, we've been through together... Promise that wont change?"

"Promise" She said hugging me tighter.

"Good, now go before you make me cry. This make up cannot run!" I said laughing.

She walked down the aisle and then it was my turn.

This is it...

I dont remember looking at anyone, seeing anyone, smiling at anyone... nothing. I just remember his face. Those eyes. Just like the way they lured me in at graduation. This moment was what I saw in his eyes that day. It was destiny.

As I walked toward him, with my gaze locked on his, I was no longer nervous.

I was no longer scared...

I was... ready.

"We are gathered here today, to join this man, and this woman in holy matramony...." the pastor began "Do you Damien Lemont Smith take this woman, to be your lawfully wedded wife? To have and to hold? In sickness and in health.... Til death do you part?"

"I do"

"And do you Corrin Ne'Shay Powell...." He started again "Til death do you part?"

"I do"

He slipped the ring on my finger, And I did the same to him.

"I now pronounce you man and wife, you may kiss the bride"

... and so we kissed.
