Shawn- Just promise me that you'll call when you get there.

me- I promise baby. As soon as I get there your phone will be ringing off the hook.

I leaned in and gave him one last kiss. My twin brother leaned out of the car that my mother had started up.

Travis- Hey Niara, Ma said c'mon. She dont wanna hit traffic.

Niara- Ok! im comming.

I turned back to Shawn. My boyfriend of 2 years.

Niara- Look, i gotta go okay?

He nodded and I made my way towards the car. Before getting in I pushed my 7 year old sister outta the way.

Niara- Move over you lil' brat.

mom- Nini!

Niara- Sorry.

My little sister India stuck her tounge out and made a weird face. I rolled my eyes and took one last look at Shawn.

As we pulled out of the driveway of our house that we've lived in for 5 years, many memmories flashed through my mind. All my friends were here in New york. I had just turned 16 a week ago and my junior year in a whole different state was about to start. I hated starting over but I had to. Atlanta was my next destination and I just knew my life was about to change drastically.

*The arrival*

Mom- here we are, home sweet home.

Niara- (mumbling) this isnt home. damn.

mom- what did you say young lady?

I put on a fake smile.

Niara- I said welcome FaM!

Travis let out a snicker from the front seat, and I reached through the space between the window and the seat at lightly hit him on his shoulder.

I opened my door and took a look around my surroundings. The house was big but the area looked STRAIGHT HOOD.

We went inside and looked around the place. I went upstairs and claimed the bedroom with the private bathroom. Not realizng there were  two of them. But of coarse my brother took the other. My mom took the only room on the 1st floor, even though the bathroom wasnt connected to the room, it could still be just hers. My little sister took the room across from mine.

I looked out my window to see the UHAUL truck with all our furniture and things in it.

Niara- MA! the truck's here!

I yelled down the stairs.

Ma- Ok! You guys come on down here and help un pack.

ALL- OK!

It took a few hours to get everything out of the truck and into everyones rooms. By the time we were done I was completely exhausted. Then it hit me, SHAWN!

I took out my phone and dialed his number.

shawn- hello?

Niara- Hey! were here. I had to help unpack, sorry it took so long.

shawn- Yeah its cool. So do you like it?

Niara- uh... No!

he let out a small laugh.

Niara- seriously Shawn.

Shawn- I know, im gonna miss you too.

We talked for about 15 minutes and then I told him I was gonna get some sleep because The drive and all the unpacking had me worn out. He understood. We ended the conversation with I love you's and said our good byes.

The next morning when I woke up My surroundings caught me off guard. I had forgotten about the move and I sat up quickly, remembering. I had decided that today I would go for a walk and when I came back I would decorate my room.

I got in the shower, got dressed in my light blue jean capris and a white shirt that tied around my neck and had some of my back out. In the front it showed a little clevage, but not too much. I let my hair fall onto my shoulder all crinkly from getting it wet. I put on some fresh white and blue Jordans and headed for the door.

Niara- Guys im going for a walk, I'll be back in a few!

As I walked I realized this place was really busy. I saw cars speeding down streets that were supposed to be 10mph. And kids were running wild. I was used to this, living in New York and all but it was still a shock. I headed down a small street that looked quieter than the rest and I took out my ipod. I placed it on shuffle and Danity Kane "damaged" came on. I started to sing along.

Do do you gotta first aid kit handy

do do you know how to patch up a wound tell me

ar-ar-ar-are you are you patient, understanding

cuz I might need some time to clear the whole in my heart and I...

Out of nowhere I felt a hand on my shoulder. I pulled the headphones outta my ear and turned around quickly.

Niara- Dont do-

My words got caught in my throat as I came face to face with one of the cutest boys I'd ever laid eyes on. He had Braids in his hair and they were fresh. His eyes were so sexy and his lips were calling my name. Any londer and I would have surely kissed them.

Boy- sorry if I scared you. I heard you singing and DAMN!

I smiled. He looked me over and he was obviously impressed. He nodded and I blushed.

Boy- Are you new here? I've never seen you before.

Niara- Yeah, I just moved here yesterday for New York.

Boy- Oh dats wassup. Im Kyle.

He held out his hand.

Niara- Niara, but you can call me Nini.

I said shaking.

Kyle- No baby girl, with a voice like that, I need to be calling you Hood star.

I let out a small giggle.

Niara- thanks.

Kyle- cute laugh.

I giggled again.

Niara- ok, you can stop with the compliments now.

Kyle- sorry. So Nini, you wanna hang with me and my crew tonight?

Niara- uh, I dont know.

Kyle- C'mon. we dont bite.

Niara- Uh, sure.

Kyle- great I can come pick you up around 7. where do you live?

Niara- uh, 3822 welches drive.

Kyle- Ok see you den Hood Star.

With that he took off down the street.

Wheew! I thought to myself as I put the headphones back in my ear.

As said in the intro, this is a new story idea that I got about a week ago. I thought about waiting but I just had to post it now. I have a lot of ideas, and just a warning... This story may be kinda long. but if you want me to keep you posted I MOST DEFINATELY will. k?
