I froze in my footsteps. How the hell did he know that?

"Have you been following me or something?" I said turning around and walking back into the kitchen.

"Following you? Nah, dont flatter yourself Tonya. I got better things to do with my time than to follow your ass around."

"Uhuh. So what the hell are you talking about?"

"Your doctor called and started giving me some information about adoption agencies. He told me to tell you to keep your options open."

I closed my eyes. I had forgotton about the talk between me and the doctor, but I certainly didnt think that he would call my house about it. Now I was stuck. I was at a loss for words.

"I... umm..."

"oh that was a big explanation" he said sarcastically. "So who's baby is it? It damn sure aint mine. We havent slept together in months and you dont seem to be showing. This has to be new."

"Its not like that..." I caught myself mid-sentence. Why the hell are you explaining youself to him Tonya? Dont forget this is all his fault. If it wasnt for the fact that he wasnt showing you any attention, you would'nt be in this predicament. "You know what? Yea.  slept with another man and I accidently got pregnant. But reguardless of what I did, lets not forget what you did either. You Got that whore pregnant, and now you tryna play me? No. Its not happening like that." I yelled.

His face tensed up. "Play you? Im tryna play you? How the hell am I tryna play you?"

"Oh dont act dumb. You want me to feel bad about being pregnant? well I dont. I dont care if we break up at this point. I thought we could work it out, but we cant. Its over. Get your shit and get the hell outta my house. TODaY!"

I ran into the room and started throwing his things all over the place. I took all the things he had in his dressor on his side of the room out. I threw everything in the closet onto the floor. He came in and saw me throwing his things everywhere.

"What are you doing? Are you crazy or something?"

"Im passed crazy Jamal"

He came over and grabbed my arm. His grip was so tight that I dropped the things I had in my hand. He spun me around to look him in the eyes.

"Me and you are done. This I know. But dont think that you are gonna stand here in my face and throw things around like your stupid or something. Its childish. Go out for a couple of hours, do what ever or whom ever you choose. When you come back, I will be gone. Understand?" he said in a hushed tone looking me dead in the eye.

I looked around at the mess I had created. I agreed with him about one thing, it was childish. He released my hand, and I didnt know what to say. I wanted to hug him and tell him that I loved him, but I was scared. Not scared of him, he would never hit me or anything. But I was scared of his response.

He started picking up the things that I had clearly unorganized and straightening up. I walked out of the room, grabbed my purse, my jacket, and my keys, and left.

As soon as I got in the car the phone rang. I picked it up without looking at caller I.D.

"Hello?"
