"bye Ma, Im leaving for school"

"Okay, I'll see you when I get home from work"

"Ok"

I left out of my front door, hopped in my car and drove to school. When I pulled up people from different directions were saying "Hi Monica" or "whats up" I replied to all of them with a simple "hey guys" and kept it moving.

When I got in the school building I headed straight to my locker. When I hit the corner I slammed right into Justin and we both fropped all of our papers.

"Im so sorry Justin" I said bending over at the same time he did to pick them up.

he laughed. "dont be sorry. Its my fault I've been standing there for the past 5 minutes trying to read over the answers for my chemistry test first period. I sware if I fail another chemistry test Im gonna fail the class."

I laughed with him. "Well Im great at chemistry. Thats actually the only class besides English, that I dont have to work extra hard to pull off an A in"

"Really. Monica's horrible at it. Maybe you can help me out."

"Id love too!" It took me a second to realize how quickly I had responded and I switched up my tone. "I mean sure, I would'nt mind"

"Great, I'll call you later on"

We finished picking up the papers and then the second bell rang letting us know that we had five minutes to get to class.

"Ok. talk to you then."

I rushed off toward my locker only to run into Monica.

"Hey girl. Whats the rush?"

"Oh Um... I dont wanna be late."

"Since when have you cared if you were late or not? That's usually me."

"I Just do!" I snapped at her.

She gave me a look that told me I was overreacting.

"Sorry Monica. Im Just... nevermind."

We opened up our lockers grabbed our books and headed towards first period.

Triganometry was one of our three classes together. We also had English 11 and Spanish 4 together.

The bell rung ans we took our seats.

"Hey have you seen Justin today?"

"Um.. yeah I ran into him today" I failed to mention that we had literally ran into eachother.

"Oh, we were planning on going to the movies tonight... wanna go?"

"I have no date"

"And whose fault is that? Every decent guy that likes you or that you start to get near to, you turn him down. Im starting to get the idea that your lesbian. If you are you can tell me... I wont judge you. You are my bestfriend."

I laughed. Then she laughed. We both knew I wasnt lesbian, but she did mean it when she said she would'nt mind. I shook my head at her statement.

"Im not a lesbian Monica, Picky, but not lesbian"

"Well... will you go?" She said sincerely.

"Sure, who should I bring... james? Jeremy? Michael?-"

"-YES! Michael, bring Micheal! The sooner you two go out, the sooner you can stop denying your feelings for him and get it over with"

"Yea... that'll happen"

I turned around in my seat and slowly drifted into thinking about what the conversation would lead too when I talked to Justin later. By the time I let my thoughts get far enough to arouse myself the bell rang.
