My whole body was tensed up. I felt myself going in and out of conciousness, but then everything went black. Out of Nowhere, I fell to the ground.

When I woke up I was in my bed. Sore, confused, and weak. When I tried to sit up, my back and thighs hurt. That wasn't the worst part though, my head was pounding in and out like a drum. I wanted to scream but I thought it would make everything hurt more.

My room was dark, the only light was comming from the outside of my window because the neighbors had their porch lights on. I rubbed my stomach, and tried to ignore the rumbling of my stomach, but it wouldnt go away. I sat up as slowly as I could and tried to prevent any extra pain from hurting me more.

As I swung my legs out of bed and walked over to the door, my mind started going back to earliar that day. It was really bothering me that I couldnt remember anything. What had happened to me? Why was I so sore and weak? I honestly had no clue.

I walked out of my room and through the hallway to the living room. I was a little shocked to see Darious laying there. He wasnt sleeping but he didnt see me, he was looking at the television. From the look on his face I could tell that he wasnt really paying attention to it, he looked as if something was on his mind.

I didnt want to bother him, and actually I had a strong feeling that there was something I should be saying to him but I couldn't put my finger on it. I went into the kitchen and took out the peanut butter, jelly, and bread. I dropped the knife and it made a loud noise. I saw Darious jump up out of the corner of my eye.

"Hey, are you okay? I was so worried about you" He said with a serious look on his face.

I looked to my left, then to my right. "Darious are you talking to me?"

He narrowed his eyes, and gave me a weird look. He looked at me like I was either extremely sick, or crazy. Neither one was a look I wanted to be recieving from him though.

"Hey are you feeling okay? I mean you took quite a fall but I didnt think that it could wipe out your memory.  Do you remember anything that happened today?"

I felt really weird saying so, but I honestly didnt. I tried really hard but the onlything I could remember was seeing Darious earliar and a little girl. Then I remembered that I had gotten upset about something, and  I ran out of his house. What was I upset about? Could I have been angry about the little girl I saw. The little girl! I remember her calling him daddy. her name was... Mya? No, Mia. His daughter. I remember him asking me a question, that's why I got upset. Okay but that doesnt explain why he's saying I fell. When did I fall. I remember... skittles. Why am I thinking of skittles? Oh, wait! I did have skittles, in the park. I sat there and then I left and came home. Or am I missing something. Wait let me back up here a minute. I dont remember walking home, But I do remember getting up and walking in the alley. Thats when I saw...

I nearly lost my breathe as I remembered what had happened next. Darious walked up to me and I stood face to face with him. I felt the tears welling up in my eyes and I couldnt stop them from falling. He took his hand and wiped them away. I burried my face in his chest and cried. Something in the pit of my stomach told me that the tears werent just because of what had happened earlier, they were just tears I'd never wanted to let out before.

After about ten minutes I lifted my head from his chest. I felt better but worst at the same time. "Are you still hungry?"

"No, suddenly im full."

"Do you want to go back to sleep?"

I shook my head no. "I want to stay out here with you."

He walked me over to the couch. We sat watching late night talk shows, videos, cartoons, and whatever else  came on when we flipped through the channels. The whole time I noticed that Darious held me close. Like he didnt want anything to happen to me again. I felt good, but I also felt nervous. Did he think of me as his girlfriend? And if so, was I even girlfriend material?
