I woke up to the smell of Weed and I knew that my brother was home. I got up and looked at myself in the mirror, only because if he was home then that would mean that his friends were close by and I couldn't embarrass myself in front of darious.I undressed, wrapped my towel around myself, and went into the bathroom to take a quick shower. I brushed my teeth, washed my face, dropped the towel, and hopped in. I let the hot water wash away all the regrets from yesterday and when I felt clean enough I jumped out into the cold air and wrapped the towel around myself. As soon as I opened the door and stepped into the hallway with water dripping all down my body darious stepped around the corner.

"Um... are you done in there?" He asked obviously shocked at my appearance. I noticed that he had on boxers and that led me to believe that he had spent the night like he sometimes did in the living room. As his eyes drifted up and down my wet body I couldnt help but feel myself smiling.

"Yea Im done, go ahead" I walked past him and when I got to my door I looked back only to find him still looking at me. I stepped in and shut the door.

I dried off and dropped the towel on the floor. I put on deodarant, and lotion, and even sprayed some perfume on my neck and on my wrist. I opened my closet to the many outfits my mother brought with her "hard earned money" and decided to wear something relaxing today. I pulled out a pair of black booty shorts and a pink tank top and I put on some pink flip flops. I brushed my hair into a ponytail and stepped into the hallway leading to the living room.

To my suprise, it wasnt my brother smoking weed. It was... it was... who the hell is it? I've never seen this man a day in my life but he was in my living room, drinking a beer, and smoking weed.

"Um... who are you, and what are you doing in our house?"

"Oh im a friend of your mothers" He looked me up and down and smiled. "I got the overnight special... but if I would have known there were more of you, I would have paid extra"

My mother walked in right on que, It's not that I was offeneded at what he said, it was just that she had never let her work spend the night, and they had never had contact with me so I got angry.

"Ma, who is this man and why is he laid up in here like he's running something.?"

"Calm down Kayla, he'll be gone soon... he just spent the night"

I pulled her to the side. And made my voice a whisper. "I thought you said that you wouldnt let them stay til morning. We dont know him"

"This is my house and I pay these bills. If I want someone to spend the night then they can spend the night. If I want a little extra attention then thats what I'll get. Now until you start bringing thousands in here then you can keep your mouth out of grown people buisness"

"Whatever. Just tell "grown people," I said motioning to the man. "To stop trying to spit his weak ass game at his prostitutes daughter."

I walked up the hallway and went into my room. I wasnt in there 30 seconds before there was a knock at my door. I went over and opened it thinking that it was my mother comming to give one of her "you're being disrespectful" speeches. But to my suprise it was Darious.

"What are you doing today?" He asked me with a smile on his face that I could have died looking at. He had all pearly whites, and His Hazel eyes made it impossible for me to register the question because I was too busy staring at them. His hair was in fresh cornrolls down to his shoulders, and in the dim lighting in the hallway I hadnt noticed.

He raised his eyebrows up at me awaiting my answer. I laughed realizing how dumb I must have looked and finally said "Nothing" he looked me up and down.

"Good come out with me today."

"really? why?"

"Just to hang out, your brothers still sleep and It doesnt look like you have anything to do on this boring saturday either."

"umm... ok... where are we going?"

"I dont know, you can wear that if you want"

I looked down at what I had on and laughed again.

"whats so funny?"

"Nothing... lets go." I grabbed my keys off the dressor and clipped them to my shorts.

We walked around and talked for a good hour. Nothing important just about school and What we both wanted to be. He seemed like he had so much he wanted to do with his life. I was happy for him, but I felt bad for me because I had never thought about it. I knew I didnt want to be my mother, and I surely didnt want to be my brother. The father that I had only met a few times in my life, was a Crazy maniac so i definately didnt want to be like him.

We got to a house, and Darious told me he had to run in for a minute to do a few things for his mom and that I could come in if I wanted. I was excited because I had never been to his house. When we got in his mom was in the Kitchen cooking.

"Hey ma, Im home" He walked into the kitchen and gave her a kiss. I followed him.

"Hey D. who's your friend"

"This is Shawn's  sister Kayla."

"Hi sweetie, ya'll hungry?"

"starved!"

We ate and then we went up to his room. I was shocked that it was only a little messy and not a warzone like Shawn's room.

"Your Mom is really nice."

"Yeah she has a way with people"

I went over and sat on the bed. He came and sat right beside me. I was a little nervous, Id been crushing on him forever and this is the closest ive ever been to him. He looked at me and I was spell bound. The next thing I know he was kissing me. I leaned back onto the bed and he was on top of me like white on rice. The kiss went from my lips to my neck. Just as he was about to lift up my shirt...

"Daddy can we go to the zoo?"
