It was night time and I was fixing to go to bed when my bro told me that he was going up the street to talk to this guy who had been causing trouble. I told him not to go but he didn't listen at all. Him and my boyfriend went up there to the guys house and my bro knocked on the door. Well the guy had already done some coke and was really messed up so he shot through the door and the bullet hit my bro in his left arm. Well my boyfriend grab my bro and rushed him to his car and took off to the hospital. We got a call about midnight that my bro had been shot and was at the county hospital so me and my mom rushed up there. Well when we got there we found out what happened and that the cops were already saying that they want going to push charges on the guy since my bro was on the guys property. Well my bro had to be rushed to the state hospital b/c he lost some much blood that the county hospital couldn't help him. My mom and me followed behind the hellicopter and the whole time i was saying god please don't take him you have already taken my grandpa I can't loose my bro. When he got to the other hospital they did several surgeries on him to try to save his left arm. Thankful they did and he ended up being there a week.  Well after he got out of the hospital they wouldn't let him come home to us so he had to stay with my other grandparents for a yr. We went to court so many times but they would not charge the guy for what he did. Shortly after my bro got out of the hospital the same guy who shot my bro pulled a gun out on me and my boyfriend when we were driving up the road. We ended up going back to court and they still wouldn't do anything about it. They would rather let a coke addict live on the street and hurt people then to arrest him. I was so hurt during that time. It took me 2 yrs before I was able to forgive the guy who did that to my bro and me. To this day I can't stand the cops in my town. But I have finally moved on and my bro has moved in with us now and everything is ok. But its something I want never forget.
