Love is suicide

Short Created on 1-23-07 Views(64) Story Rating G

He lived and breathed her. She was more than he ever expected. A girl any boy would dream of calling there own. Still there was something missing. A part of himself he had lost. The more he thought about it the more confused he found himself. At one time he was confident in saying he loved her more than anything. Now he didn't wish to utter the words unless he knew he believed them. She was a beauty. Always there ready to jump if he told her to. If anything he didn't deserve her, but he could bare to let her go. Though he hadn't thought about it he knew in the back of his mind he would hate if anyone else was to touch her.

David's life was sad and pathetic and he was always the first to admit it. He was quiet most of the time and very bright. For a young man of his size his ego was rather large. He was never a loner always had a few people he called friends with him, but David didn't trust anyone. He was loved by his parents and he loved them back no matter how much it disgusted him to admit it, but his most favourite person in the world was his tiny look a like brother who he proudly helped raise.

He had met Kat in school. To him she was beautiful, perfect even. He grew to love her and never before had he been so comfortable with a girl. Though he still lusted over many other girls he never wanted to let Kat go. She was his rock and he needed her to survive. No one else would put up with his shit and he knew that too well. He always knew it was a great possibility that he would die alone, but the more he thought about it the more he hated the truth of it. Sometimes he would imagine a life with only Kat, the thought made him smile, he knew in time he could come to appreciate her, but right now he didn't know if he could allow himself too.

Kat shared her secrets and dreams with David. He had always told her she was weak. To an extent she was and he loved that about her. Still her honesty was a strength he admired and her willingness to open her entire heart to him was also something he admired. The day she had told him that he was the first boy she ever kissed was a day, a second he would always remember. Her innocence made her childlike and he adored her even more for that. She both annoyed him and pleased him. When she was away for a long time he missed her. He missed everything about her. When he was alone and his mind uncluttered he would close his eyes and see her face. She would smile in his mind, perfect. He hated her. He wanted to hurt her. To David hate was a much more pure emotion. He didn't know if he could ever love, but if he wanted to try Kat was the one he wanted to try with.

He didn't know how much longer she would hang on, but he gripped on tight. A pool of blood slowly seeped from under her almost lifeless body. Just an hour before she had screamed the words 'I don't love you David' and now lying here her eyes were icy and cold. She would finally die, like she always threatened too. He had made a mistake, he had done it to her again. The other girl meant nothing to him and Kat meant the world. No matter how much David said nothing could repair the damage he had caused. She had warned him that this was the last time and every time she would say that to him he would laugh it off.

Kat had walked in on him with another girl, only a few hour before. He watched her has se wept. He listened as she tried to speak. None of her words were clear to him. He could not listen his mind was still focused on what he had done. Two years were gone and wasted because of one small simple urge he didn't wish to fight. He could have been happy, but now it was ruined. She threatened suicide and he couldn't bare living in this world without her here. She got up and hit him. Her little fists punching away at his chest made him laugh. It was so cute. When she uttered those hurtful words 'I don't love you David' he grew angry he pushed her aside. Without knowing what he had done he continued yelling in his fit of rage. Kat did not move nor speak. She was bleeding and now she would die because of him.

Kat's breathing became shallow and with one last breathe she mouthed the words 'I'm sorry.' She died in his arms. David cried and cradled Kat in his arms never once letting go. What was next for him? What would he do now? Could he continue living a sane ordinary life without Kat and knowing what he had done? David closed his eyes once again he saw her face. She smiled, perfect. He heard her laughter, it lifted his heart. The sound was beautiful. He knew what he had to do. This was the end for him too. He had once made a promise to Kat that they would be together forever and now he was going to keep it. He watched the sunrise that morning with Kat still in his arms, it would be the last time. It was perfect and beautiful just like Kat.
