ashley walked over to the lunch table and sat down awkwardly. "Hi" she said. "Hey" they all said.
a blonde girl sitting in the middle said "Im Katie, thats Terra, Abby, Jane, and our friend Lily isnt here today" she pointed to the three other girls who just nodded when their name was said.
Ok so Jane has dark brown hair. Katie was the blonde. Terra and Abby have red hair but Terra had blue eyes. - Ashley made a mental note.
Katie continued " We saw you wondering around looking lost and we thought we would save you"
"Thanks" ashley murmered.
"So whats your story?" Abby said.
"uhm, well my parents moved here for jobs and thats about it" said Ashley
the girls looked dissapointed. "We wanted drama" said Katie. "theres hardly any drama at all. well, interesting drama. occasionally a girl gets pregnant but thats boring after the first few months."
"oh" said ashley. "Hey do u guys know that guys name in our history class? the one that sits right beside me?"
terra finally said something. "oh thats spencer ryan. if you are interested, don't be. he won't get with anyone. well, anyone from here that is. apparently he likes girls from prison-"
"that isnt true terra! we made that up when he wouldnt go out with abby!" cut in katie.
"Oh right. well, he's just a normal guy. he works at the flea market on main street, has an older brother named cliff." she paused "wow, we don't really know that much about him since he just moved here two summers ago"
"oh well thanks" said ashley. for not knowing much, they seemed to have a lot of information.
"so what are you doing this friday?" asked abby. she didn't seem to bothered by the girls talking about the guy that rejected her.
"uhm. nothing i guess" said ashley. since she was new, she really didn't have anything to do except unpacking.
"you should come to the party then. everybody is gonna be there. you drink right?" said abby.
"yah. a bit" said ashley. truthfully, since she didnt drink often, she was a bit of a liteweight but she wasnt going to tell them that.
the lunch bell rang and everyone got up and went to their next class. the whole rest of the day she didnt see spencer ryan. she saw abby and terra in a few classes but they were too busy gossiping to notice. when she got out of school it wasnt raining anymore so the walk home was pleasent. her mom and dad were too busy talkin about work to really do the twenty-questions on her. which ashley thought was just fine since she was thinking about spencer. she wondered if she really wanted to date him. she just met him so she didnt know much about him, but he was awful cute. she went to sleep that night wondering what he had thought of her. little did she know, he was thinking the same thing....about two houses away.
sorry. i had to get the first day set up. its boring but i promise it will get better. too much dialogue. will be better.
