     Sam left Jess’ place, she started walking, but she felt someone watching her…in a good way, so she turned to see Jess leaning against his door smiling and watching her. She waved at him, and he waved back and closed his door.

 Sam smiled to herself, replaying the events in her mind over and over again, giving herself butterflies.

   When she was half way home she started to pay attention to her surroundings, and was wondering if Chris was still waiting for her.

Sam heard a rustle in an ally, well…a real ally, and she turned towards to sound. She saw a shadow in the ally, but then it left, so she paid no mind to it.

    As she got closer to the ally where she saw the shadow, she started to pick up her pace, because she felt uneasy, so she walked all the way on the other side of the street trying to peer into the ally as she walked, she heard another loud rustle come from the same ally, then she saw a dog chasing a cat come from the ally.

       And she let out a deep breath feeling at ease now, but once she did she felt a sharp pain go threw her neck.  She had a quick intake of breath, but then her air was cut off, and she fell into darkness. 

   “Whore…” was the last thing she heard, before the darkness consumed her, then she felt weightless.

    I really thought she would have called me when she got home. Even if she did get in trouble, I just expected her to call or text me or SOMETHING! I’m beginning to think I did or said something wrong. I just keep replaying it all in my head. Did I touch her wrong; was I bad at kissing, should I have walked her home? It was kinda dark out. CRAP! She probable tripped on a rock and broke her arm or something; she’s kinda a clutz…

  Nah…she still would have called…Am I reading too much into this? I don’t think I am….right?!

 Sam slowly woke up on her couch…her neck her, and her throat was sore.

She heard people speaking in the next year, but didn’t make any sounds to let them know she was up, she just laid there.

   “So…you finally got up?” a voice from the door way came, and Sam looked over to see Chris standing there leaning against the door frame, his arms crossed and a smirk on his face.

“I’ll get your mom.” He said and left you alone.

 “Oh! You’re finally up! You ok?!” Sam’s mom, Eliza said.

“Mmm yeah ma, I’m good.” Sam replied.

 “OK, can you guys tell me what happened now?” Her mom said worriedly.

   “That emo freak did it.” Chris grumbled.

  “What?!” Sam and her mom said in unison.

 “I was leaving your house when I saw him hit you. I told you he was a freak. You shouldn’t have been near him.” Chris said glaring into Sam’s eyes.

 
 “Is this true Sam? If Chris told you to stay away you should have! He cares about you. Plus this kid doesn’t fit in with you. You could have ruined your image. People would think bad things.”

“Yeah Sam, I loooveeee you. Just trust me” Chris said with just enough sarcasm that only Sam really noticed.
