HIDE and SEEK (^4^)
|
:FOUR: “Oh man.” Chris whispered to himself when he walked through the house. There was blood on the walls. But there was no sign of a body. Chris gagged as he walked around the room, it smelled almost like copper from the blood and sweat mingled together it was a smell that he has never gotten used to. He hated that smell; it left a nasty after taste in his mouth that he could not get rid of for days. Yet there was something that kept him coming back for more. Chris took a deep breath, and exhaled as he pulled on his white latex gloves to examine the rooms, and his Hispanic partner, Jason Amir did the same. Jason began work in the kitchen/living room while Chris examined the bedroom. Chris walked over to the door and began dusting for finger prints, but found none Chris noted the fact that there was no sign of forced entry, and concluded that the woman had to have let the assailant in. “Hey! Preacher!” Jason called.Chris went to the kitchen/living room where Jason was.“Yeah Jason? You got something?”“I might.” Jason replied, “See here? Blood. A lot of it too.”“Yeah, I noticed that too, my guess is that the assailant killed, or at least bear her pretty bad in here and might have disposed of the body somewhere else.” Chris said rather grimly Jason looked at him a little perplexed and asked, “Why is this case making you so uptight Preacher?” “I don’t know. Something about this is just weird. And I don’t like the fact that a young woman was killed, but her body isn’t here. I thought it was linked to the other murders, but this is something else. Plus I hate that this woman’s body is lying somewhere, or she could be alive and their just torturing her. Why would some one want to kill a young woman, that’s a whole generation whipped out.” Chris said without meeting Jason’s gaze. Jason looked at his partner sadly, “Yeah I see what you mean. This woman had so much. Frankly I don’t get what drives theses people so crazy as to go and kill people. I mean rationalize this, there are hundreds of thousands of deaths a year lets say half of those deaths are cause by murders. Do you know how many generations are wiped out? It’s very sad.” “Yes it is. Sometimes I can’t take working the cases with children and all. You know? Sometimes I just want to refuse those cases, but the people who do that stuff need to be caught.” Chris said. “Definitely. Some times I just want to ‘accidentally’ shoot their leg or punch them or something before turning them in. Anyway Preacher, lets ‘get-er-done’.”
