“Hey, it’s Jake.” “Hey Jake what’s up?”“”well…..I just couldn’t go to sleep without hearing your voice again.”“Aww…..Jake your so sweet.”“Well I didn’t really get to say a real good-bye.”“I know and I’m sorry about my dad. He can be a little over protective sometimes.”“Yeah I could tell that.” He said in a shaky voice.“Jake what’s wrong with your voice? You sounded a little shaken up.”“It’s just your dad is a little scary, how he just pop’s out of nowhere” he paused “it’s creepy.”“You have no idea what creepy is with my dad. Jake he does that all the time; he’ll sneak up on me and Bella and scare the shit out of us.”He laughed his musical laugh into the phone. ”I can see that.” He chuckled again into the phone. I love his laugh it was so addicting to listen to.“Well is that all you wanted to say to me to night, or should I say morning.” I yawned involuntarily into the phone. We had been talking on the phone for about 2 hours. I was starting to get tired. It was 1:30 in the morning. “Yeah. I guess so……what would you say to going out with me tonight to the movies?” he asked in a tired voice as well.“I would love to. What movie?”“I don’t know…..what about the new horror flick that just came out?” He asked hopeful that I would say yes. “Well I don’t really like scary movies.”“Don’t worry I’ll keep you safe. I promise.” “Ok. What time do you want to pick me up?””How about 8:05?”“Sounds great!”“Good night babe.” Jake said.“Nite Baby. See you tomorrow.”(We both hung up.)  It only seemed like I was asleep for 5min. when my cell phone started to ring. It was Bella. It was now 10am. I was still so tired from the night before. I answered my cell phone. “Hey Bella.” I said as I yawned into the phone.“Ahhh…..what happened last night? You never called me!”“Umm….I did call you, you didn’t answer.”“Ok well who cares tell me what happened.” She patchily screamed into the phone.I told her the whole story including the phone call later that night. “Don’t go gossiping around about what happened last night, Ok. I really want this out of the gossip column at school.”“Ok I promise, scouts honor.”“Thanks.” (We hung up.) It felt like the day lasted forever. But finally the day came to a close and it was almost time for Jake to pick me up. I had five minutes till I could see Jake again. I talking to Bella on the phone when my mom yelled up the stairs: “Kelly, Jake is here to pick you up.” I ran down the stairs to a horrible sight. My dad was giving Jake the don’t try any thing with my daughter talk.“Hey Jake we can go now.”“Wait just a minute Kell. I was having a talk with jr here.”“Well dad we kinda have to go were heading to a movie. We don’t want to miss the begging.” “Well talk later Mr. Johnson.”“Ok there Jake, well talk later, be safe kell.”“I will dad. Bye!” we walked out of the house and got into his car.“Sorry about my dad Jake.”“It’s ok. I’m glad you came in though. I don’t like to be late to anything, I was mad the other night that I was late to pick you up.”“Oh well than I’ll know not to ever be late then.” I said with a smile on my face as a joke.“Good.” He said smiling too. When we got to the movies, we had missed the begging of the movie. And Jake wasn’t kidding when he said he gets mad about being late. He was cussing under his breath. He was blaming my dad. “Jake its ok we can just see the next one or we could do something different.”“Ok how about we do something different?”
