A Highschool Romance

We got out of the car. He told me I could sit down on the blanket.

"Jake this is so sweet."

"I know you love the lake. So I thought it would be great for a first date."

"How do you know I love the lake?"

"I just know..."

Jake open the pic-nic basket and pulled out a wine bottle. He also pulled out some take-out containers form my favorit restruant.

"Wow jake you went all out. But I don't drink."

"Thats ok. You don't have to I just thought it might be nice. I brought some soda in a cooler in the back of the car."

"Awwww...Thanks jake."

"No problem. I just really like you and i just wanted it  to a special for you." He smiled when he was done talking.

While he was talking i couldn't help but blush. My face felt like it was on fire from my embarissing uncontroleble actions.

After we ate we talked some and he said how he always knew that I liked him. Of course I blushed at this. But he also said how much he liked me all threw middle school and up to high school.I asked him,

"How come you just didn't ask me out?"

"Well I was just to shy to ask you out."

"Wait, What! Your the most popular guy at school. How can you say that your shy?"

"Well Iam not shy at school but I am shy around you. I have an image at school because I play sports."

"Oh." Was all I could say.

It started to get cold and i shivered and he asked me if i was cold.

"Yeah. It got cold really quick."

"Here." He handed me his jacket that he was wearing. It was warm inside and big. It looked like it was eating me alive. I loved the smell of it. 

As we walked back to the car. I could bearly see it was so dark. I almost fell when I triped on a rock. Jake caught me by the waist. He kept his hand there to lead me to the car.

When we got to the car he didn't let go. I leaned against the car and he leaned his head down and kissed me lightly on the lips. We kissed for what seemed like 30 minutes,but I think it was not so long. He pulled away and I looked him in the eyes and he smiled.
