“Why is it so wrong when I have sex but when you guys do it is no big deal?” Sam asked as she came out of the room.

“We haven’t had sex, and I am sorry. I overreacted and made an ass out of myself. I just hate to think you don’t need me to protect you anymore. I have always done that and now your basically an adult.” Reid said to her.

“I’ll always need you. You’re my big brother, but I don’t need protecting from Carter. He is amazing, but I am not the one you need to apologize to.” She said. He walked past her and into the room where Carter was. “So you guys seriously didn’t do it?” She asked when he was in the room.

“Almost---twice. First time I was confused about what I felt for him and the second time he told me he loved me. That and you were at the door.” I explained.

“But, you have done it before?” She asked.

“No, the farthest I’ve gone is second base before---or was it third? I got felt up.” I said.

“By who?” She again asked a question.

“Just this guy I know.” I said because it was Carter. In eighth grade it was a dare for him to kiss me on the lips and feel me up, in front of everyone.

“We worked it out and we are going to get a couple beers.” Reid said as he and Carter, who had a black eye, came out of the bedroom.

“You guys are eighteen. You know you cant get into any bars.” I said. They held out a pair of fake Ids.

“Don’t worry Pres, I wont let him get totally wasted. We’ll be back at around eleven.” They said and walked out the door.

“We have the suite to ourselves, what do you want to do?” Sam asked.

“Facials?” Ashlyn asked as she came in the door with a ton of shopping bags in her hands.

“No thanks, how about truth or dare?” Sam asked.

“What are we in third grade? Well, I have nothing else to do so count me in.” She said and sat on the couch with us. “Preston, T or D?”

“Dare.” I said. I have been accused of being cautious and uptight while playing this game, so I chose dare.

“Kiss Sam on the lips for ten seconds.” She said. I looked at Sam and she shrugged her shoulders. I leaned over and planted my lips on hers for ten seconds before I pulled back.

“Ash, T or D?” I said after the kiss.

“Truth.”

“Why do you hate me?”

“I don’t hate you, I envy you. You were always the smartest and prettiest, and you had Reid’s heart and I knew it. I wanted to be like you. Everything seemed easier for you.” She explained.

“Why do you like Reid anyway?” I asked an extra question.

“He was the only person that didn’t treat me like a perfect fragile thing. He always treated me like a normal person.” She said.

“I guess I can understand that, but you didn’t have to be such a bitch.” Sam said and I agreed.

“Who wants chocolate cake and ice cream?” Ashlyn asked.

“Do you know how many calories is in that?” Sam mocked.

“Who the hell cares?” Ash asked as she picked up the phone and dialed number 6. She ordered three pieces of chocolate cake, a tub of chocolate ice cream, and some vanilla wafers, all the perfect foods.

“Sam, T or D?” Ashlyn asked as she got off of the phone and waited for them to bring the food.

“Truth.” Sam said as she took a drink of her smoothie.

“Was Carter your first time and how was it?” Ashlyn asked. Sam sighed.

“Carter wasn’t my first time. It was actually last year at homecoming. Seth Moynihan took me to the boys locker rooms and I made a huge drunken mistake with him. I never told Reid or anyone else because I hated to think of what I did to my baby,” She started crying, “I got pregnant that night and I didn’t want anyone to find out. I researched all of my options and went to New Jersey to get an abortion. I did it alone and I was horrified the whole time and I felt horrible after but I couldn’t be a mom at fifteen.” She finished with tears streaming down her face. I put my arms around her and leaned her head on my shoulder. I saw Ashlyn move over towards the other side of her and sit next to her, running her fingers through Sam’s hair.

“You made the right choice. Your life would’ve been so much harder if you didn’t get that abortion.” Ashlyn said. Sam had stopped crying and was just sitting there silently.

“Ashlyn, Truth or Dare?” Sam asked after about five minutes.

“Truth.”

“Was you first time as horrible as mine?” Sam asked.

“It was worse.” She admitted.

Okay, I will not be online next saturday(which means no chapters) because my friend and I are having a sleepover and then going to Surf and Swim. I will try to put 2 chapters up on friday to make up for it though. Also, I have an ending in mind for the story, i just have to figure out how to get there. It will probably take several more chapters. ~Dani~
