The Trip [8]

“Say what? You want to--with me?” Reid asked, being shocked by the request I just made. I didn’t even know what I was saying. I like Reid a lot, but do I want to loose my virginity with him?

“Yeah, I do. I really like you and I don’t know, I just want to, okay?” I asked.

“Okay.” He said and got off of the bed and headed towards the bathroom. I went and locked the door to our room and followed him in there. I closed the door and walked up to him. He leaned down and started kissing me. I lifted his shirt over his head and threw it on the floor. I lifted mine and put it next to his. I took my jeans off and put them in the pile. I walked over to the bath, in my bra and underwear, and turned on the water. I poured some of the complementary bubble bath in and let it get all soapy before I walked back over to Reid. He unbuckled his belt and pulled his pants down, leaving him in just boxers.

“Are you sure you want to do this?” He asked.

“Yeah.” I said as I unhooked my bra and revealed my 34-B breasts to him. He looked a little nervous. “Why are you nervous, you’ve done this before.” I said.

“Because I don’t want to screw things up with us. I have been waiting since ninth grade for you and I don’t want to lose you, you mean too much to me.” He said.

“You liked me since ninth grade?” I asked.

“Yeah, but in tenth grade I didn’t like you anymore,” He said and I got a little sad at that, “I fell in love with you in tenth grade and I have been ever since.” He said.

“You love me.” I said mostly to myself.

“Yeah. Do you think, maybe, you love me too?” He asked. I looked up at him.

“Why is the door locked? Are you guys in there?” Sam said from the bedroom door. Reid put his pants on and went to answer the door while I put all my clothes back on.

“What do you want?” Reid asked.

“Wow, you’re happy to see me. I was wondering if you knew where Ashlyn was. I checked the spa and she wasn’t there.” She said.

“Why would I know where Ashlyn was? I don’t even like being around her.” He said.

“I thought she would’ve told you and--where’s Preston?” She asked.

“I was taking a bath.” I said as I came out of the bathroom.

“Yeah, you’re wearing the same clothes and your hair isn’t wet. You guys were hooking up.” She said.

“Samantha, go to your room.” Reid said and closed the door in her face. I went and sat on the bed, thinking about if I loved Reid or not. “So, do you have an answer to the question?” He asked me.

“Can I think about it for awhile? I am not completely sure but there is a good chance I do. I just don’t want to tell you if I don’t feel it.” I said.

“Sure. I’ll just go with Carter and Sam to find Ashlyn.” He said as he grabbed a shirt and walked out of the room. I sat there by myself for thirty seconds before I heard Sam yell, “Reid stop it!” I ran out of the room and found Reid Trying to kill Carter. Sam was in her underclothes and Carter was in his boxers. I knew what he walked in on them about to do.

“Reid, stop. Killing Carter isn’t going to help!” I yelled at him.

“Michael, leave him alone!” Sam yelled again. I walked over to Reid and pushed him away from Carter. “He isn’t even my first! Reid stop treating me like a kid!” Sam said and slammed the door to her room.

“Carter, go in there.” I said pointing to where Sam had just went. “Reid, you cant expect her to stay a kid forever. She really likes Carter and he likes her.” I said.

“But, they were about to---I cant even think about it.” He said as he sat on the sofa.

“I know you want to protect her, but she doesn’t want or need protecting from Carter. You just have to see that she is a young woman now and she doesn’t need you to protect her, but I am sure she loves you for wanting to protect her.” I told him.

“I know, it’s just that she doesn’t need me. That’s why I went off on Carter, because she needs him more than me.” He said.

“There will always be a place in her heart for you. Just like there will always be a spot in my heart for Caleb(her little brother).” I said.

“When she comes out, tell her I’m sorry. I’m gonna go for a walk.” He said as he got up.

“Be the man I love and tell her yourself.” I said. He stopped and turned to look at me. I had a huge smile one my face. “I don’t need to think about it. I love you, Reid.” I said. He ran over to me and wrapped me in his arms.

“Thank God for that.” He said and I couldn’t help laughing a little.
