Noise

Noise. The first sense he could gather. He laid still. Wonder was passing through his mind. Wonder of where he was. Wonder of what was happening. Wonder of had happened. Just what seemed like a few minutes ago his life was normal. He was doing his usual daily routine. Something told him that more time than just a few minutes had passed. How long? He felt heavy yet light. Lying on a hard surface yet there was some sense of comfort. What was going on? He could feel a dull pain in his head. His back was aching and he felt bruised all over. Had there been some sort of explosion? Some terrorist attack. These were daily occurrences but not where he lived and worked. Or was he on a business trip? After all he did travel a lot with his job, a well known wealthy business man. He had frequented the Middle East, had he been there when some sort of terrorist attack had been carried out. Was he simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. Or had he been personally attacked. These were thoughts rushing through his mind. He couldn’t remember where or what he had been doing prior to whatever had happened. He tried opening his eyes a slightly, maybe this would clear things up a little. Black and white blurs was all he could see. Then a few different shades of grey. Colour slowly fed into the images that were appearing but still everything was blurred. A breeze blew through his hair, light brown wavy hair. He took a deep breath and moved ever so slightly. Pain rushed through his body like it was flowing in his blood stream. He took an even deeper breath, swallowed the pain and got to his knees. His vision slowly started to become clearer. He could make out that he was in a dim alley. There were sirens. People shouting. Chaos. Then he looked up. He could see some kind of banner on the wall opposite him. It was a type of graffiti. Like the ones the youths around where he lived would spray. This suggested he was close to home. He could just make out what it said: “It is time. My domain is here. Run for your lives. But you will not be able to hide.” What did this mean? What time? Was someone looking for him to steal his wealth? Had he cheated someone and now that person was after revenge? More confusion was added to his mind. The noise around him seemed to get more chaotic. Then he looked behind him. And saw another graffiti. “What was told ages ago is coming to pass. The supernatural is here. Those who didn’t believe before now will.” Then for a moment everything seemed to go silent. The world could have stopped. A single piece of white paper blew in the wind. He caught it. On the paper in perfect handwriting there was a sole line. “Come to me, I am your hope in this time.” Peace came over him. He couldn’t explain why or how. His mind drifted. Indeed the supernatural must be here.

prettyJennie1 This is cool, there were a few errors in grammar, but otherwise, it was amazing. I'm not really sure what it's about, but I can't wait to read the rest!

Hairfairy1 I enjoyed your story. Even with all of the grammatical errors, the message is clear and intriguing. You should continue it. Perhaps in short installments. I liked the concept and the mystery. Good job.
