My Best Friend's girl

Not getting a lot of response on these? Is it bad?

Well, she did call and we decided to have dinner at this awesome Japanese restaurant about 20 minutes from the country club our prom was being held at! She was also on the homecoming court and so we decided to eat a little early, so we wouldn’t miss the entrance… Our school had rented 3 carriages led by white horses to bring in the court… We were getting in the carriage about a half mile a way. The court consisted of 2 freshmen, 2 sophomores, and 8 seniors.

Macy looked hot in her pearl white flowy dress thing… Her whole back was visible, almost to her but… I had on a black tux with a pearl white vest… Luck would have it that we matched… I had gotten her a white rose corsage that fit perfectly around her small wrist… Her short hair was curly and we looked damn good together if I may say so myself…

“You look awesome, Mace, thanks for asking me to go, otherwise I might have been lonely this evening…” Which was the truth!

“No way, you by yourself… with all of you baseball groupies hanging around!”

Aren’t you one of my baseball groupies!” I was only joking and so was she when she smacked my arm playfully… My shoulder still hurt some and I winced at her touch. She immediately apologized… Honestly forgetting about my recent injury…We headed to the restaurant after about a 1000 pictures from her mom… I teased that the chef was going to light her hair on fire with all that hairspray plastered to her head…

The dinner ran late and we ended up barely making the entrance… Since we were last to be seated in the carriages we did not get to pick. Wes, who was also on the court and you guessed it, Leah sat across from me… The only ones who didn’t seem awkward were Wes and Macy who talked up a storm the whole ride… Leah wore a navy blue halter dress… Her golden locks were piled on top of her head and she had what appeared to be diamond jewelry everywhere... the only thing missing was a corsage which I assumed Wes did not feel was necessary…

I silently stared out the window feeling like a prince who was without his princess. When we arrived Wes was first out of the carriage cheering to everyone… Leah followed but tripped a little down the step… Wes didn’t even notice so I quickly grabbed her arm… She smiled thankful that I had not let her embarrass herself in front of everyone…

I exited and turned to help Macy down as well… We headed into the dance arm in arm as the other students cheered us in… The place was amazing… We did a theme of blue and silver hearts… The place sparkled from the dance floor to the tables… I excused myself to use the bathroom and Macy said she was going to talk to her friends… Walking down the hall I bumped into someone… Leah with a tissue in hand apologized… Her make up was a little smudged and I could tell she had been crying…

“Leah, what’s wrong? Are you okay?” I instinctively hugged her and she collapsed in my arms… “No don’t cry, just tell me, did someone hurt you?”

“It was Wes, I heard him talking to this guy about how he had a hotel room but that since I have curfew tonight he was going to get me to sleep with him and come back to get Ally to stay overnight! I… I just thought he liked me…”

I held her a little bit longer and told her to go clean up… I stormed back onto the floor and it wasn’t long before I was standing toe to toe with Wes. “We need to talk!” He laughed since I prolly sounded way out of character to him… but he stepped to the side anyways…

“What’s your deal man? Why did you have to go and hurt her? Wasn’t it enough that she is beautiful and smart and funny?”

“Wait a minute dude! Hurt who? What are you so riled up?”

“Leah told me that she heard you talking about Ally staying overnight… she cried! How could you make her cry?” Recognition paled his face. He genuinely looked upset…
