"So where are we headed?" i asked Justin as we drove and drove up a steep mountain side... I Had been this way with my grandma a couple of times when i was little but everything seemed different...
"you are never going to learn huh?" he giggled... "Learn what?" I asked totally confused.
"I am never going to give up these secrets!" He told me. "You will know where we are going when we get there!"
I gave him a very sad face with my bottom lip stuck out which always worked on my dad and he gave up a little hint... "Okay we are finally going to celebrate your birthday but that's it no more hints!"
I sat back very pleased with myself! We arrived at a park and my stomach growled... "Oh is my little moo cow hungry lol?" Like I said before I know I do not resemble a cow at all so that comment comes across as funny not insulting..
"I am hungry!" He directed me to a spot next to a look out and told me to check out the view... it was gorgeous up there.. you could see all the way to the bottom of the mountain... The trees were in full bloom and all colors could be viewed from where I stood... I think my favorites were the pink dogwood trees.
"Ok babe I am ready for you!" Justin said sounding more excited than I have ever heard him... I half expected to turn around and see him in his birthday suit... don't get me wrong Justin is very sweet but when it comes to sex he never quits surprising me...
I turned around and gasped... Everything was perfect... He had a pink and white checkered table cloth on the table... some bugg be gone candles since I hate mosquitos and bees... some paper plates but can pepsi which is a must... he had a fruit tray and a some hotdogs which he was grilling... and the best part was the birthday cake... My mom must have baked it since it was heart shaped and covered with rainbow chip icing...
"OOO baby this is wonderful... How did you do all this without me knowing???" i was truly amazed... "Well i made a few phone calls and after the last birthday present i gave you.... Well you deserved something sweet!"
I almost cried but decided that it would probably ruin the moment... After eating some of the best hot dogs I have ever tasted we left the park. Our next stop was a place called lover's leap... I read the info board which explained the story.
" In the late 1800's there was a young indian woman and a young white settler... They had secret meetings at this lookout where they fell in love... of course they knew they could never be together so one day they jumped knowing that they could be together in the after life..."
Justin always trying to be funny said, "I know that is sweet and all but honey I don't know if i could do that... Maybe we could just runaway lol." We both giggled and I tried to look mad but I definitely agreed...
Come on now! What would you do?

UMMM...KAY....THE LOVERS LEAP THING... MY EX JUMPED OVER IT TO GET HIS SUNGLASSES AND ABOUT FELL DOWN IT...THEN WE LOCKED HIM IN THE TRUNK... I THINK IF AT ALL NECESSARY I COULD JUMP...IF THE GUY WAS WORTH IT. |
