I know I am skipping through the months but with a 5 year relationship I figured I would just hit the hot spots!
So the date is 4/23 and I am setting up for my own party, well shared party, at a local park... Turns out that Justin's sister's birthday is 4/25 which is 3 days before mine... Instead of waiting till the next weekend to have my bday covered to she wanted to do it this weekend...
"What do you want me to do with these streamers Amber?" I asked knowing very well where I wanted to hang them but she can be soo bossy and why not keep the peace... "umm what about over the rafters?"
"Great Idea!" I said, "my great Idea" I mumbled... Noone was there but us... My mom and dad would be there soon with the grill and the cakes. my mom is a caterer so I was really looking forward to my cake.. Justin just bought a new bike so he is supposed to meet me here...
We were almost done decorating.. Just a few balloons here and there and it would be perfect... we had set up different tables to keep our stuff separated.. Mommy and daddy got there and began setting up the food... I tried to sneak a peek at the cake but it wasn't happening... We set down next to the grill and talked to my parents for a second to catch our breath...
We heard another car pull up and we jumped up to check out the new visitors... It was Justin's parents and in the distance I could her a bike approaching... Justin pulled up on a beautiful Yamaha R6... It was blue and white and so was his helmet. He looked so hot and I had to bite my tongue to keep from saying so in front of everyone..
I darted down the hill to greet him.... "Hey baby happy birthday!" he said while taking off his helmet... "It's not my bday yet silly!"
"ya I know and that's why you are not getting your present today.."
"Seriously, aww that sux!" I pouted... "What is it with you and surprises!" he said... "I can't ever do anything special for you!"
"You're here aren't you? That is special enough for me!" I smiled and kissed him then dragged him over to the party... Everyone was really impressed with out decorating.. People started to arrive shortly after and soon the whole place was full and the presents were piling up... Mostly gift cards were received but that was fine with me... Justin just smiled at me the whole time I opened presents...
Somehow sharing this day with him made it all the more special.. Justin is pretty shy so he doesn't do that much PDA in front of people... We are getting to the comfortable stage where we know pretty much know each other's looks and somtimes even thoughts... the day was a success... My dad made sure to remind me that I am still not 18 for a few more days.
The day ended with Justin and I standing at the overlook in the park... Philpott Dam was picturesque and we enjoyed the warm summer breeze...
All the cleaning was done and the last guests were packing up to leave... Justin called out to his mom and said, " hey before you go let me get her present out... "A Present for me!" I squealed...
He brought me a big box.. I unwrapped it and squealed again... A brand new helmet... It was white with pink flowers and it was gorgeous...
"Let's go for a ride!" I said after i tried it on and of course it was a perfect fit! With that we were off! You would not believe the comfort and the breeze and the high that you get when riding a motorcycle... I was flying high for the rest of the day!
