I know that you are probably thinking I spelled that wrong but I didn't... Snowden lane is the street Justin't parents live on.. As you may remember our first meeting with his parents didn't go so well... So we tried to make another attempt...
Justin picked me up around lunch time... he told me not to eat since we were eating at his parents... "I am starving honey! what time are we eating?" He just giggled... I am not fat in the least but he calls me his "lil moo cow" cuz I eat all the time... i worked out a lot so my metabolism was high... but, anyways I loved the nickname...
We arrived not long afterwards and lots of cars were in the driveway... i was suddenly nervous that now I had to impress the whole family... Justin has got to quit surprising me that way...
I stepped into the house behind Justin and everyone just stared... After a few seconds justin said, "Hey guys this is Angela... angela this is everyone else... My sister Gina and her boyfriend Marshall... Over here is my other sister Amber..." Everyone just smiled at me a little uncomfortably... I just smiled back and pratically whispered out a Hi.
We moved to the kitchen where Justin's mom was moving about trying to get lunch together... "Mom, you remember Angela right?" His mom seemed very upbeat... "I would shake your hand but my hands are a little um grosse!" We both laughed and I thought to myself.. i could really like these people... I replied, "Well thanks for the consideration! Is there anything I can help you with?"
"Well you could grab some paper plates out of the cabinent please since my no good kids won't help...!" she said the last part a little louder obviously to get their attention... "So Justin told me that you live in Bassett?" She and I were getting along great and the food was almost down..
"yeah I just graduated last year." i said trying to sound older since I was not sure if they knew I was under age... "I am working for Eastern Microfilm in Stuart though..."
"Oh really!" She said, "I used to work there too! That owner, David Wright can be a real asshole!"
"Yea he is pretty rude but, he can be nice to... Especially around holidays."
"Oh do you know him?" she said looking a little put off.
"Well he is my Great Uncle but we aren't close or anything and you're right he can be a real meanie." she looked relieved as I talked and about that time Justin saved us for the uncomfortable silence... "So you two getting to know each other?" Until that moment I had barely realized that Justin had left me alone...
We served lunch which consisted of a turkey in crockpot with cabbage, carrots, and potatoes... My mom doesn't really cook those foods but it was surprisingly good. We all ate in the living room and watched some tv... Cops was on and we all commented on how stupid the criminals were...
All in all it was a great trip.. I think i bonded the most with his dad though... He walked us out and said, "Well I hope we will see you again!" and even went as far as inviting me out next weekend.."It's supposed to snow next week so maybe we can take out the 4wheelers..."
"I would love to!" i said genuinely. Justin said, "Well its a date then!"
