I pulled away quickly. My lips tingled in delight and they begged for more. I tiptoed and kissed Dominic hard on the mouth, putting more passion into the kiss and letting my fingers find their way into his hair. Dominic laid me back down on the bed, never breaking the kiss, and pressed his body hard against mine.

“Ana?” Amanda called, her voice getting closer.

“Shit!” I whispered, pushing Dominic onto the floor and lying on my side as if I were talking to him. Amanda walked in and looked from me to Dominic and back again.

“What’s going on in here?” she asked suspiciously.

“Nothing,” I said, jumping up and grabbing my backpack. “Let’s go.” I grabbed her hand and ushered her out of my bedroom. “C’mon Dominic!” He sighed, lifted himself off of the floor and brushed past me, making the slightest contact. Amanda was already waiting at the top of my driveway. I waited in silence as Dominic gathered his things. As he walked toward me, my heart began to race. He smiled as he saw my cheeks turn red, stopped in front of me and kissed my cheek. I smiled to myself, locked the door and slammed it shut.

“Do you have everything?” I asked quietly.

“Yeah,” Dominic replied. “Call me later okay?”

I nodded with a smile, “Will do.” I gave him a hug and watched as he walked down the street.

“ANA COME ON!” Amanda whined impatiently. I was immediately pulled from my trance.

“Sorry I’m coming,” I responded, shaking my head and running to her. The bus ride to Amanda’s was relatively silent; only the quiet murmurs of the other people on the bus were heard. I stared out and looked at the pretty scenery and landscape of the town that I was stuck in, the town I hated. That’s when the guilt hit. I can’t have them both, I thought. It was going to be a pretty tough decision on my part so I had to prepare for the worst on both ends of the situation. I had to look and the pros and cons of both Kevin and Dominic.

Kevin was tall with dark, curly brown hair and hazel eyes I could just get lost in. He played football so he was a bit bigger; wide shoulders and muscular arms. He was sweet and I knew he cared. But sometimes, it felt like all I was to him was a sex toy that he could touch and just leave me behind when he felt like it. I didn’t like that.

Dominic, on the other hand, was tall and lanky, but still muscular. His straight blonde locks went along with his ocean blue eyes. He had played football too, but he also told me he lifted weights and played rugby as well. His chest and stomach were as hard as a rock and his hair was as soft as silk. He made me laugh and smile, especially during the times I didn’t want to. He was very sweet and was a great friend. He listened when I needed to talk, even if it was about Kevin. But, he was a high school drop out and he already had a criminal record at the age of only seventeen and that worried me.

That night at Amanda’s, I made my decision. I was going to break up with Kevin; I just needed to figure out a way how.
