I spent the rest of the day at the pool flipping my hair and doing tricks off of the diving board, trying to catch the blonde boy's eye. Kayla said his name was Bobby but I didn't think that fit him. I didn't make any assumptions because I hoped to find out his name myself. When my mom picked me up, she knew something was going on.

"Well, aren't you...," she paused, searching her mind for the correct word, "smiley." My smile widened.

"Um yeah so?" I replied.

My mother shook her head and grinned. "It's nothing. Kevin called while you were out so call him when you get inside the house. I have to go visit your father at the jail tonight." I nodded and continued my act of staring out the window, when really, my mind was racing. I loved Kevin, I really did. But this mysterious blonde boy was so handsome. His well sculpted pecs and stomach complimented his large biceps and long stong legs. His blue eyes were as blue as the sky on a bright spring morning and his blonde hair reminded me of honey.

As the car rolled to a stop in front of the house, I climbed out and began walking down the driveway. "Ben's at Tony's," my mom hollered out the window. "Make sure to let Goldie out." Goldie was my 2 year old laborador retriever. She was the only dog I had ever really had. My dad believed me and my brother, Ben, weren't responsible enough for a pet. My mom had sure shown him. I stood, unlocking the door, and made my way into the house. I was greeted by Goldie's whining barks and her jumping up on my chest, licking my face happily. I opened the door, hookd her on her chain, and made sure she walked around the corner of the garage.

I walked into my room and flopped on my bed. Today had been quite the day. I hadn't exercised that much since gym class in the first semester of school. I sighed as I forced myself to sit up. I reached for the phone and dialed Kevin's number. I waited anxiously as the dial tones seemed to drag on forever.

"Hello?" he answered. His voice still made me melt into a puddle beneath my shoes. I smiled.

"Hey handsome," I giggled into the phone.

"Hey baby," he replied. I could hear the smile in his voice.

"My mom said you had called earlier?" I asked.

"Yeah," he cleared his throat. "I was wondering if you wanted to go to Buchner with me tomorrow. I feel like I haven't seen you in ages." He laughed.

"I knew you were going to ask me that," I laughed into the phone.

"I love your laugh," he confessed. I smiled and felt the heat rise to my cheeks.

"I love you," I giggled.

"I love you too," his smooth velvety voice cooed at me from the other end of the phone.

"Well sweetheart, I have to go take a shower and everything. I love you," I smiled.

"I love you too," his voice fell. Then he smiled, "I'll be thinking of you...in the shower."

I laughed, "Ooo. You're naughty. But I'm serious. I gotta go. I love you."

"Love you too. Bye," he hung up and I set my phone on the charger. I walked into the dining room, let Goldie in and made my way to the bathroom to start a bubble bath. As the water ran, I stripped down and looked at myself in the mirror. My body was thinning out like it always did in the summer and my hair was already lighter. I smiled and turned, carefully sitting down in the bathtub. I layed my head against the cold tile and closed my eyes. His face wouldn't stop going through my mind. His blue eyes, and his blonde hair. I secretly hoped that he would be there tomorrow. Because with Kevin there, that would make it even better.
