How could he? Bella thought as she stormed out of the office. She heard Mark yell, “Bella wait!” She kept walking as if she didn’t hear him, but the elevator wasn’t fast enough. It opened just as he was behind her. “Bella,” he asked. “Can we please talk about this?”

“No,” she answered. “I don’t want to hear anything you have to say. Just leave me alone.” Bella walked into elevator, hoping he would go back to his office but he only followed her into the elevator.

“Please Bella,” Mark begged. “I did not do anything with Jessica.”

“Oh? So now she has a name?” Bella scowled.

“Of course she has a name. Her name’s Jessica. She is my ex-fiancée,” Mark explained.

“Oh well isn’t that convenient?” Bella said sarcastically. She turned to face the corner and crossed her arms. Mark got behind her, and their bodies touched completely from shoulder to thigh. Mark leaned down to whisper in Bella’s ear, “I would never do anything with her when I have you.” He turned slightly and pressed the emergency button and the elevator halted to a stop. Bella turned to see what happened and walked right into Mark’s arms. There was so much tension between them; you could cut it with a knife. Bella looked up at Mark and expected him to walk away, but he did the opposite. He kissed her.

Bella put her small hands on Mark’s chest to push him away, but only drew him closer. Mark kissed her passionately as he put his hands on her heart shaped bottom. Bella wrapped her legs around Mark’s waist and loosened his tie. Then, she began undoing the buttons of his shirt. Mark pulled her maternity sweatpants down to her knees, undid his belt and jeans and pressed himself into her. Bella let out a feathery moan as he entered her and arched her hips toward him.

The next five minutes seemed to be a blur of passionate sex. Mark went slow, knowing that it was only Bella’s second time. But he couldn’t help but want to go faster. Bella’s moans kept him going the entire time. He knew that having sex was bad for the baby, but he couldn’t help himself. As they exploded together in orgasm, Bella’s legs found their way back to the floor and she looked up at him, her eyes sparkling and her lips looking as pink as bubble gum.

“I have to get back,” Mark whispered, not wanting to go anywhere. “I’m sorry.”

Bella smiled, “I know. It’s fine. Do you want to go to dinner tonight?”

Mark nodded enthusiastically. “Yes. Of course. Where?”

“I’ll worry about that,” Bella stated, slipping her panties and sweatpants back on. Mark followed by fixing himself; buttoning his pants, doing his belt and buttoning his shirt. Bella put his tie around his neck and tied it. She looked Mark up and down, making sure that nothing was out of place and that nothing would be noticeable. Mark pressed the up button and they acted like nothing happened. Bella walked him back into the office just as Jessica was leaving.

“Bye sweetie,” Mark said placing a hand on the small of Bella’s back. He leaned down and kissed her, as if putting on a show for Jessica. But what Bella didn’t know is that he meant all of it. “I love you.”

Bella smiled back and answered, “I love you too.” Jessica was astonished and stormed down the stairs. This made Bella smile more and she and Mark kissed one more time, this time more passionately than the last. When Bella got into the elevator and pressed the 1 button. Then, a tear fell down her cheek.

If only he meant it the way I did, she thought.
