Everything's Changing chapter 2

Now it's morning and everyone is waking up to find that things seem very wrong. Rebecca walks outside and finds that the cherry tree has been struck by lighting but wasn't knocked over. The scary thing is that there is a dead bird hanging from the tree with a note attached around it's neck saying " You're a freak of nature. Why don't you just leave and let us live in peace?" Tears stream down her face because of the cruelty of someone's words towards her daughter. She walks back insdie to show Jacob and he says nothing. The look on his face gives her the answer she is looking for.

You see there's this one boy, Josh, who has always ridiculed Jade for as long as they can remember. When he found out what She had tried to do to herself he would spraypaint things on their garage, leave nasty notes in her locker at school or on their front doorstep. They don't know why he does this but he is the one that comes to mind after finding the bird.

Jade wakes up and walks into the kitchen. "Hi Honey, how'd you sleep last night?", her mother asks. Jade replies sarcasticly, "Just dandiful. Got woken up by the strom but my night was swell." "You don't have to get that kind of tone with your mother", says her father, "She's just worried about you." "Wow sticking up for mom and here I was thinking you two hated eachother.", replies Jade rudely. "We don't hate eachother. We just fell out of love. It just wasn't meant to be.", her mother replies shakily. "Well I'm off to school now", Jade says as she rolls her eyes, I hope ya'lls day is better than mine ever will be."
