my essay on youth violence
|
The very problems of our youth society of today, tie around youth violence. Day by day violence is molding our youth into something, they were once not. Students, who were once a bright and intelligent pupil, can become a victim, or an inflictor of violence. I for one, can say, that I have been victim of violence. There are many reasons kids are violent, and there is many ways that you or I can prevent it.
To begin with, the effect of violence on my life has been plenty. When I was younger, I lived in an environment that wasn’t a good effect on me. Many druggies and bad people lived near me and my house was robbed, also I was an eye witness to an armed robbery of my best friend’s father. This hurt my emotions tremendously. When my younger sibling first entered kindergarten, he endured a lot of mental and physical abuse from his peers and teacher. This hurt me to see my own sibling suffer, and his personality change into a shy, and angry boy. Not to mention, school violence had increased and many of my friends were expelled and I didn’t see much of them again.
Further more, there are many reasons for which, kids have been violent. Some kids change because of their own personal tale, they first were a victim. Many types of abuse, rape, mental, physical, or just witnessing the abuse of some one they love, can build anger inside of a kid. This anger builds up like a volcano, and eventually it will explode and they become violent. Some of our youth, aren’t even at fault for why they are violent, some have chemical imbalance. Which is a problem you’re born with, and have no control over unless you take medication, chemical imbalance makes you extremely sad or extremely angry. Another reason that causes violence is loneliness and usually causes our youth to engage in activities with gangs to have some where to fit it.
Finally, there are ways that you or I can prevent violence in our youth society. Domestic violence often causes youth to pick up what they see preventing domestic violence would assure that the youth have a fighting chance against violence. We can do this by allowing kids with domestic violence in their lives to attended anonymous meetings with ours like them. Also we can help the youth with problems with their health such as chemical imbalances or anger problems and can’t afford medication by donating money. This will prevent them from lashing out. Also having conferences with other youth about putting them selves in others shoes, to let them know picking on kids hurt, and maybe they will change for the better.
In conclusion, the very problems of our youth society tie around violence. I for one, can say, that I have been victim of violence. There are many reasons kids are violent, and there is many ways that you or I can prevent it. Next time you hear about youth violence, it will be about how it no longer exists.
