 I awoke to an annoying tap, i opened my eyes and glanced over at my window. My blinds were closed but i could see a dark shadow of a person. I staggered to my feet, yawned and walked over. When i pulled up the blinds i could see Big D, Ray's friend i met. "Yo what you want man its middle of night" i said opening up the window. "Get dressed iight?" he said sturn, i nodded and walked over to my dresser.

 I threw on some basket ball shorts and a plain tee then hopped out the window. He motioned for me to follow, so i did curiously. We climbed into a hummer, i guess his. "Where we goin?" i asked. "To see Ray, and take care of some stuff."he said with no emotion what so ever.

 The sky was still pitch black and the moon still glowed vibrantly. I buckled my seat belt,(saftey first children!) we began driving to the hospital. As i looked out the window all i could see was the image of Ray, covered in blood. Not such a pretty sight, i was glad he was alive though. Kind of funny in a sick way, how the first time i meet him he is shot down in front of me.

 We arrived at the hospital and got out the car. "Wait, aren't visiting hours over?" I asked. "Yeah, but i know the nurse, she is my older sis she'll understand." We walked in and up to the front desk. "Hey Shanie" Big D said. "Hey Sweety what do you want?" she asked and he told her about Ray and she immediatly gave us passes to go see him.

  Once we got down the hall in which his room was in, i could hear Ray laughing. I knew he was alright now. When we walked into his room he was laying down and watching Cheech and Chong the movie. "Hey!" he smiled as we walked over. We talked for a while and he also told us that the stuff they gave him worked real well, he couldn't feel the pain at all.

 Only a little while later Big D stopped talking and turned to me. "Hey white boy,(his nick for me) we gotta go take care of that buisness now" he said standing up. "Oh so you got White boy on this too?" Ray laughed. "Huh, what?" i asked confused and Big D shook his head, "You'll see."

 Big D was a big man, i guess 19 years old maybe, very heavy weight, and a mean face. But those that know him, know thats he is a big jolly guy except when your his enemy. I got back in the car with him, and we drove to who knows where.

 We ended up in the ghetto part of florida and we pulled up to a run down building and stopped the car. "Come on white boy" he said getting out the hummer and i followed him. He knocked 3 times and a voice said, "Password?" He told him, "Its South Way Dane Park" the door opened and the guy stepped out and hugged Big D. "Glad your here man" he smiled then looked over at me."Who this fool be?" he asked and i got kind of offended. "This here is White boy!" He said laughing, "He is okay, he's with us."

At the time i didn't realize what world i had gotten myself into, and what i'd risk for these, "Friends".
