Stand In The Rain [{(chapter 1)}]
|
The light rain turns into drizzle and the sun starts to come out just a little every now and then. She is still sitting in the same place with her cell phone in her hand clicking the side every few minutes hoping if she keeps looking at he time, time will just magically fly by. It wasn’t working. 1 hour ago he had called her but to her that hour felt like years.
Millions of thoughts ran through her head about what he would need to talk to her about that was so important he needed to say in person. She had came up with 3 possible ideas but they all were bad. She couldn’t think of anything good that absolutely needed to be said in person. She had thought maybe his parents were divorcing, -because he had said his parents started arguing a lot more- he was moving or worse he was breaking up with her. She hoped none were true because she didn’t want to loose him.
She didn’t have the slightest idea what true love really was but she knew she had to be pretty close to being truly in love with him. Her thoughts continued on until finally it was 11:45, so she jumped into the shower and got ready.
When she was done she went down stairs and got something to eat-pepperoni pizza to be exact. She loved pizza. To her it was the best food anyone ever decided to make. When she was done eating it was about 1pm so she decided she would walk to the park and get there a few minutes early. She grabbed her phone and her house keys and was out the door
The park was only about a mile and a half from her house so when she got there it was 1:25pm according to the time on her cell. She walked over to a bench and sat down. A few seconds later a blue truck pulled into the parking lot across the street. It was his truck so she got up and walked over to him. He looked a lot different, like he was depressed and was about to cry. She knew one of the ideas she thought of had to be right. She looked at him concerned with the what’s-wrong expression on her face.
“I’m moving...” he said sadly.
“When? Why?” oh no she was right. Why was she always right? Just for once couldn’t she be wrong?
“My dad found a new job in Cali, we’re moving in a week.” He said looking like he was about to cry. She didn’t want him to cry. She only seen him cry once before and to her it was unbearable.
“In a week! Why so soon?” Please don’t cry. Please, please don’t cry she thought.
“My dad’s job starts in 13 days so we need to be packed in 1 week so we have 2 days to drive and 4 days to start unpacking at our new house.” A tear slid from his eye. ‘Oh great now he’s gonna cry. I can’t handle this. First he’s gonna move and now he’s crying. This cant get any worse’ she thought just before the worst thing that could ever happen to her happened.
“I’m sorry Destiney but... it’s over”
