BOOM! Everyone wakes up. The Sky lights up and Amber screams. Destiney jumps from the scream and Michael and Evan start laughing as hard as they can. “Its not funny” Amber wined. “Yes it is” Destiney replies and Amber glares at her then giggles. “Yea it was, wasn’t it” “yeah” Michael looks at his clock. 5:30 “what is up with this weather, Yesterday it was snowing and now its raining” He gets up and walks to his window and watches the rain fall in the dark bluish purple sky. It looked somewhat peaceful in the pouring rain and the little flashes of heat lightning. Most of the snow had melted from the rain but there were little spots of snow on the lawn where there were drifts. Destiney walks up behind him. “Michael, what’s wrong?" She asks somewhat worried. “Nothing babe it just looks so.... Strange” He puts his arm around her and holds her close. “Destiney?” “Hmm?” “I love you” “I know... I love you, too” “I know you knew I just want you to know that I love you more than anything and I’d take a bullet for you and give you the world in a heartbeat” “really?” “Yeah I would. I’m seriously in love with you” “I know but... nevermind” “What were you goin to say?” She leans up and kisses him passionately with tears in her eyes. A few minutes later he breaks the kiss. “Don’t cry. Please don’t cry” He puts his thumb under her eye and wipes away the tears. “Sorry” “you don’t need to be sorry. I just hate seeing you cry” She puts her arms around his neck and rests her head on his chest looking out at the window and he puts his arms around her waist. “We should probably get away from the window. You know what they say about lightning” “Yeah I know” Destiney looks away from the window and walks back over to the couch. Michael follows right behind her with his arms still around her. Amber and Evan were already sleeping. Michael sits down and pulls Destiney down so she is sitting on his lap. Destiney moves so she is sitting on the couch but still has her legs on his. She puts her head on his shoulder and puts her hand out. Michael holds her hand and puts his other hand behind her back. A few minutes later they both fall asleep within seconds of each other.
