Can you keep a dirty little secret? (6)
|
The house was dark even though the sun was just beginning to set out side. The only light that was produced was from the open door leading onto the back patio. The early night light shining off the pool into my living room was mesmerizing; the wave’s reflections onto the ceiling made the room feel aquatic. As I step into the room more, my shadow joined the reflection of the pool onto the walls. I loved how it felt in my house when no one was home, it was like heaven. But all my thoughts were interrupted by yelling coming from a few houses down, I made my way outside so I could here what was going on, not meaning to be rude, but being the person I was made me curious. I stepped over the threshold onto the patio. The first stars starting to come out as, the first audible words were screaming out of some ones mouth. I didn’t realize who it was until I stepped further out into my yard until I could see over the five foot fence that surrounded my yard, at my five foot two height I could barely see over it but I could recognize the voice of an angel anywhere.
“Fuck off dad, I’m just going outside to get some fresh air, is that okay with you?”
“Gabriel Mathew stop being a smart ass and get your ass back in here!”
“No.” A door slammed as Gabriel stepped out onto his porch as he placed his hands on top of his head. Even from two houses away I could feel the frustration he was feeling, I stud on my tippy toes trying to see over the edge of the fence, but I couldn’t. I made my way to the other side of the yard to grab a chair from one of the pool side tables my mom had purchased a few weeks ago to make our yard look more “sophisticated”. I was just about to place the chair next to the fence when I heard some one behind me.
“Hey stranger, hope your not spying on me?” Gabriel said as he hopped the fence into my yard.
“Hey Gabe, hope your not jumping my fence to ask if I’m spying on you stranger?” He grinned and sat down in the chair I had just placed by the fence, his shirt was off, and so I could see his amazingly toned body, just seeing him like that made me drool.
“Yea well, I hope my dad didn’t wake any of the other neighbors up.”
“Nah, I think you shut the door in his face before any of the other neighbors had heard you guys fighting.”
“That’s good at least I don’t have to worry about anyone calling the cops on us like back home.”
“People called the cops on you guys?”
“Yea, I told you my dad hates me, He doesn’t like who I am or something, He’s very laid back and boring, and I like to go out and party once in a while, ya know?”
“Yea I know, my mum’s the same way.”
“I would bet my dad’s worse.”
“I wouldn’t bet against my mom, she’s not that bad but she can get annoying.”
“Just be happy you have a mom.”
It was silent for a few minutes after that. Gabe looked really tense, so I decided to let him cool off for a little bit before I started to talk to him again, I was just about to ask him something when he got out of the chair and dived head first into my pool. The water splashed me, making my jeans soaked. Gabe swam all the way down to the other end of the pool until he had to come up for air. His cut of jean shorts clung to his body as he made his way over to my side of the pool again, his curly hair now dripping wet.
