When I woke up, I was in a strange room that I had never been in before. It resembled something like a shed. In the corner sat Amaury wuth his head in his hands. He looked horrible. Just then, I felt a stabbing pain in my stomach. I growled and Amaury looked up.

"Natalya?" he asked cautiosly. His voice made me forget about my thirst for the time being. "Is it really you this time?"

Confused, I tilted my head to the side. "Who else would it be, silly?" I smiled at him and instead of smiling back, he ran over and hugged me tightly.

"Oh, Natalya. I was so worried. I'm so sorry. I can't believe myself. I'm horrible." He pulled away slightly so he could look at my face. "I'm sorry," he said again. He leaned in to kiss me and I allowed that. After a few seconds I pushed him away. When did I get so strong? He didn't...

"Natalya?" He took in my facial expression and backed away a little.

"Amaury, what did you do? I asked angrily through clenched teeth.

"I...could't resist. I tried to warn you, but you madee everything harder by-"

"You changed me!?" Amaury tried to walk toward me again but I punched him. He actually flew across the room, slammed against the wall, and hit with extreme force.

Slowly he got up and I jumped at him, knocking him to the ground. When I was sitting atop his chest, I asked another question. "Why does my mouth taste like blood?"

He was breathing heavily and took awhile to answer. "You're a newborn. You don't have the control I do. After I took too much of your blood and filled you with mine, you broke out of the house. It took awhile to catch you and when we finally did, you weren't exactly...yourself." He wouldn't meet my eyes.

"How many," I asked as I shut my eyes. "How many people did I kill?"

"About 25," he whispered.

"No," I said in denial. 25 people? 25 lives that were now ended because of me? I couldn't believe it. I wouldn't.

"Natalya, I'm sorry." Amaury stopped talking for a couple of minutes before adding the next part. "We need to go hunt." I jumped off of him and stared with my mouth hanging open.

"You don't honestly think...are you out of your mind?" I turned and started walking toward the door to leave. His hand stopped me.

"You need me to help you. You don't have to kill to get blood. Just get enough to survive, that's all." I shook my head and ran out the door. Then I remembered that I had no idea where I was. Leaving Amaury's muffled protests behind, I ran until I recognised houses. I was right by Kristan's house.

I walked up to her door and knocked. Luckily it was her who answered. "Natalya! Where have you been? Your parents are...What are you doing?" That's when I realized exactly how thirst I was. I had been moving closer to her as she spoke. The scent of her blood was irresistable. I saw the delicious looking vein pulsing in her neck.

Not her, I thought to myself. Anyone but her. I couldn't stop myself. I looked at her terrified face once before I jumped, aiming my, now fully extended, fangs at her naked throat.

 I'm so sorry you guys. I haven't been writing much. I'll try to get the next part out soon.

On a better note, my birthday is in a week! Yay! School is also almost over for the summer. I can't wait for next year.     -Tara
