It was hot. Too hot, as things often are in the middle of summer. It was july fourth, and everyone but me seemed to be having a good time. My feet were hanging in the cool blue water of my neighbors pool, as I watched my boyfriend Dan and his twin sister Gabby swim around in the pool. Too me it seemed to hot to do even that. I peeled off my t-shirt and fixed my bikini top, then was about to get into the water, just to please them, when Dan swam over to me and sat on the side of the pool. "Hey babe." He said, and pulled me in for a quick kiss. "Hey Danny." I replied, not really looking at him, and instead looking at Gabby, and how her hair looked when she swam underwater. She too swam over to the side of the pool, and sat on the other side of me. "Hey Bry." she said, using the nickname she had given me in 2ed grade when there was a Brian in our class and he was a boy who mocked me about being Bryan and a girl. "Hey Gabbs." I responded and siged. So this is how it would be always I suppose. Stuck right in between the boy I was dating and the girl I was madly in love with. Little did I know that the complications had only just begun, and what I had dealt with before that day I would die for within just a month. Life can be so complicated.
