Ugh. It was 6 in the morning. To early to get up, but I knew I had to. It was the first day of my Sophmore year in high school. I sat up, turned my alarm of and went to my closet to pick out my clothes. Looking around I finally decided on a light green t-shirt that showed my shomach just a little when I moved, and dark wash jeans. I looked around and found my favorite black converse, which didnt really match, but always made me feel better. I knew I would need that boost today. It was my first day at my new High School. All my life I had lived in North Carolina, and all my friends were there. But with my dad loseing his job and everything, he couldnt turn down the great job he got offered here in California. Don't get me wrong, I always wanted to go to California, it was just a big change for me.

I walked down the hall to my bathroom. That's one thing "that's good about this house" I thought. I get my own bathroom here. Back in North Carolina I had to share one with my little brother Freddy. He's 13 now, but we actually get along pretty well. I'm 15, gonna be 16 in just a few months though. I took my shower and put on the clothes I had picked out. I put on a little make up and straighted my hair, which would have been naturally wavy otherwise. As I left the house to walk to school, which was only 1/2 mile from my house, I noticed a small hole in my shirt. "Oh Well" I thought. That's life.

Being new, I had gone to see the high school over the summer, so my locker was already set up. "Miranda" a voice behind me said. "I am Ms.Pastelly. I'm the guidence councler here. If you ever need to talk, just come to my office. Well, for now, I just came by to drop off your class schedule. You're first class is Chemistry, and it starts in 20 miniutes. Don't be late. Have a great first day!" At least first class sounded fun. I had never taken Chemistry before.

Turns out that I should have payed more attention to that don't be late comment. I wasn't used to such a large school, and majaged to get lost trying to find the class. The bell rang, and I was still frantically looking for the class room. I finally arrived 10 miniutes after the bell had rang, and luckily the teacher let me in because it was my first day.  "You must be Miranda" the teacher said "I am Mr.Ramot. Seeing as you are late, there's only one seat left. Please sit down now". I looked around quick and saw an empty seat at a lab station in the row 3 rows from the front and one from the back. I quickly walked over and sat down. "Hey" said a voice next to me "I'm Zethan. Don't laugh at the name. Parents named me, and I think it's cool anyways." I looked up and found my self speechless.

In front of me sat one of the most amazing looking guys you had ever seen. He had gold-brown hair, and amazing blue eyes that looked as if they could see right through you. He looked as if he was mucular, but I couldn't totally tell because he had on a hoodie. He also had a few freckles speckled perfectly across his face. "You can call me Zeth though." He said, making me realize I whould probably say something back. "Oh hey, I'm Miranda." I responed. "I guess we are gonna be partners for the rest of the year." I said, and smiled. He smiled even bigger then me and said "Lucky me. And here I thought this class might be boring." I could tell from then Chemistry was going to be one of my favorite classes. To bad I only had it every other day.
