• CHAPTER 16—

• The man kept his hand over my mouth and his knees beside me to keep me from squirming as I struggled to free myself. From the dim light of the sunset I was able to see he was wearing only a pair of low riding jeans and a large earring. A long scaly tail whipped out from his....butt and closed the open window. Man was I freaking out or what?!? I screamed from under his palm in a scared way like any other girl would if some stranger had her pinned down. My future self would have to admit I was terribly slow not to put the pieces of the puzzle together.
• “Jamie, shush!!” he whispered sharply. “Shhh! Stop it before Sean gets in here!”

• “Taylor!” I squealed, although it was muffled. He looked back at me and smirked. Ok, now it was getting awkward. He carefully slid off of me, making sure he didn’t make any sudden moves that would alert those downstairs. He glanced over his shoulder at the window again, his now pale skin shimmering in the moon’s light flooding into my room.
• “Jeez, you’re soaking wet! Taylor, what are you doing here?” I asked.
• “You weren’t answering so I decided I’d come see you.” He replied. That’s when I noticed his eyes were a gorgeous yellow with serpent-like pupils acting like spears in the middle.
• “I-I was about to answer.” I muttered.
• “I couldn’t tell. Sorry.” He smirked, cocking his head to the side.
• “Aren’t you cold?” I stood up to get him a towel from the bathroom. Taylor lifted his eyebrows at me in an are-you-serious kind of way. “Oh right, my bad. Cold blooded reptile. Sorry.” I sat on the edge of my bed. His forked tongue flickered out. “What are you doing?” I asked when he was on all fours. Suddenly, his body rippled from head to toe from dragon form and back to human form like when you shook a sheet to get rid of its dust. Water droplets scattered everywhere, including on me. The bed groaned when he sat next to me and he chuckled when I scowled at him for getting my room wet.
• “Anyways, back to business.” He clapped his hand together, his face becoming serious. “Why’d you leave?”
• “Because,” I started, lying back on my bed. “I was in History and I was so bored, so I wrote down Eros’ name and the next thing I knew, he responded and I was talking to him for about 5 minutes until he said I caught him at a bad time. I asked what was he doing and he said cutting something. I asked if he cut himself and he said yea. So I said I had bad diarrhea, excused myself, and went wee-wee-wee all the way home! The end! Fin! End of story!” I rushed.
• Taylor blinked at me with a crooked smile.
• “What are you staring at me for?” I whined. He shook his head and laughed once.
• “You know that sounds completely ridiculous.” He said.
• “Yea...well...for you to show up in that scaly interior, on my house, is pretty ridiculous too!” I argued, crossing my arms over my chest.
• “F.Y.I.... I’m a Drake in case you were wondering, which I’m sure you were.” He informed smugly. Oh, so that’s what he was. No wonder why I didn’t see a pair of brilliant wings sticking out from his back. One of the rarely heard of species, drakes are much like western dragons. Unlike them, however, these dragons have no wings, only four legs. They differ from type to type, but they usually are fire-bearing creatures. Like the Western Dragons, they too come in different "styles". Some are extremely serpentine, with long, skinny bodies that stretch out wide and long, whip-like tails. Others, however, have much thicker bodies. Or so I’ve heard. I guess I was a bit upset Taylor wasn’t a Western Dragon, but Drake dragons were still very pretty. Come to think of it, he did look a lot like Kohaku off of “Spirited Away” by Joe Hisaishi. I was in my own world so deeply that I didn’t notice him place one of his hands on the left side beside me so he could lean over me.
• I jolted when I finally snapped out of it. His braid dangled just barely in front of his left eye, but it wasn’t enough to hide the amusement. My cheeks flushed fiercely. The hand he wasn’t leaning on uncrossed my arms from my chest and held one of them to his face. He shut his eyes and nuzzled his nose in my palm, a deep purr sound erupting in his chest. This is bad; this is really, really, bad! What if Eros stumbles upon us?! Crap! Taylor’s thoughts! That’s even worse than Eros seeing us! I had to do something and quick before things got out of hand.
• “You smell like....the sweetest and richest mixture....of sweets I have ever sensed in my 3,000 years on Earth.” He breathed between inhales as he dragged his nose up and down my wrist. He slid my arm over his shoulder and began kissing his way up until he came to my collarbone. Oh no...My breathing, it was speeding up! This can’t be happening! No, I don’t want to give him the wrong idea that I was enjoying this so much....ok maybe not so much. By then, his body had somehow slithered its way between my legs and he was now trailing kisses up my neck and to the underside of my chin. I tilted my head back further in a sad attempt to escape my lips’ fate, yet he chuckled, gripped my jaw, and titled my head back down to his eye level.
• His narrowed pupils wandered down to my mouth then to my eyes again. All I was really worrying about was 1. If Eros was hearing his thoughts 2. How far would this go, and 3. I hope my heart wasn’t beating loud enough for him to hear. I’m guessing it was because he chuckled softly. His eyes locked on mine.
• “So nervous....” he whispered against my lips. One of his hands barely touched my leg and my first reaction was a shrill ‘KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!’ followed by me fidgeting more than ever. He held me in place by putting some of his body weight on me. His bare chest crushed mine and his left knee—which he had just set on the bed—nudged my hip. When was this going to end?!
• (PHAHAHAHAHA! Jeez, i love Taylor. ^-^ he's such a tease ((like me XD)) Hmm...when will it end? Maybe i'll drag it on a bit more?
