• A tall, scruffy, male stood at my door glaring at Eros, who was still pressed against my body. He was wearing at least 7 gold necklaces, a dirty red and black bandana covering his dull brown hair which was tied at the nape of his neck. The man had on a shabby leather jacket, no shirt, and black tight-fitting jeans that were tucked into knee-heighten boots. His fit stomach was designed with dark, yet vivid, tattoos that looked like mainly skulls and sharp vines protruding from his waist line above his pants. • “PIRATE!” I cheered and dashed to him. He opened his arms for me to cuddle in and chuckled as he swung me around. “Keith what are you doing here?!” I panted.
• “I was in town for some...stuff, and I decided I’d come see ya.” (He has a British accent) He patted me on the head. “Good thing I came too...” he glowered at Eros again and gripped the handle on his spear that was fastened to his belt. I gasped and smacked him on his bare chest.
• “Keith!” I whined pushing him back. He stumbled and regained his posture.
• “What?! How do ya expect for mey to react to some.....creep smothering ya?!” he asked. I rolled my eyes and walked back to Eros. I think that wasn’t what he wanted me to do because he hurriedly grabbed my wrist and apologized.
• “Fine, just don’t do it again. You know I hate swords....” I muttered.
• “Of course....” he sighed. His golden eyes flickered to the man behind me, and I realized I had forgotten to introduce them to one another.
• “Oh, Keith, this is um....Eros.” I stuttered. Keith lifted his eyebrows in confusion.
• “Ya mean like, Eros, as in da Latin Cupid?” he clarified. I nodded. His smirked and stuck his hand out for him to shake. Eros kept his eyes on his and accepted his kind gesture. But when their hands locked I didn’t have to look to know Keith crushed his hand. To his surprise, Eros wasn’t, and isn’t, a weakling. He squeezed his hand just as hard with an innocent smile. Keith snatched his hand away and clenched and unclenched it beside him.
• “Ya will have tuh--- explain things laytuh (later) to ya brotha. I’m sure he’d want tuh know about this” He whispered sharply. I was definitely in for it. I groaned, nodded wearily, and trudged up to my room. Big mistake.....
• *Keith and Eros—2^nd person P.o.V.*
• Keith was seated at the counter-table while Eros was cooking again. His eyes bore down into his back in pure disgust. So this whole time I was gone, this pansy was living with my sister, he would think, his nose wrinkling. He scoffed aloud purposely. Eros glanced over his shoulder.
• “Something the matter?” he asked kindly with raised eyebrows. Keith looked at him as if he didn’t do anything.
• “No. Nothing at all.” He replied. “Except I’m concerned about mah poppet.”
• “How so?”
• “Don’t act innocent with mey, Cupid.”  He sneered.
• Eros grunted, now facing him fully. ‘I just confessed my feelings to Jamie and so did she. I won’t let her obnoxious “Captain” get between us.’ He thought impatiently.
• “Please, Keith. I’d prefer it would you’d call me Eros. Cupid reminds me too much of the fake character man kind has constructed of Me.” he explained.
• Keith ignored his wish and ranted on. “Bugga, what have ya gotten yaself into, Jamie?” he jeered, shaking his head in his palm. “I mean seriously, Cupid? He’s a complete and total loosa (loser)!” he then turned his attention to Eros after he was done talking to the imaginary Jamie beside him. “Oy, lover boy, ya see that there girl upstairs? She’s mah responsibility until her lazy brotha gets back! And I don’t plan to let some prepped up Myth raise her hopes and then smash em!”
• “Pardon my rudeness, but you aren’t her brother. Where is he anyways?! You’re not responsible for her misery as his parents are! Now, I don’t intend to start anything that will have a bad ending between us, so there’s so need to get over protective.” Eros notified. Suddenly something cold ran down his arm, taking his attention away from the argument. In plain black ink were the words, ‘Eros, please do be careful around Keith. He may only be 27, but he can get really dangerous. I don’t want either of you getting hurt.’
• He sighed intensely and ran one finger along his arm in the form of letters.

• Don’t worry, Jamie. I’m not going to resort to violence. I can’t say the same for him though. (His brotherly love for you is saying a lot about his temper) I’ll see what I can do to calm him down. Love you-Eros.

• Jamie smiled as she read the reply on her notebook. Wait....why was she secluded in her room anyways? It wasn’t like Keith had grounded her or anything. Scoffing, she bounced off of her bed, anxious to see Eros’ face. It felt like hours since she did. Little did she know what she would find wasn’t going to be pleasant.
• *1^st person P.o.V.*

• I hurriedly bounded down the stairs, turned the corner, and skidded to a stop. Keith had unsheathed his sword and was now holding it Eros’ neck and was threatening to stick his head in the oven. I could tell Eros was doing everything in his will not to break his promise.
• “K-Keith!” I shouted. “STOP IT!” I grabbed the blade and yanked it out of his hand, but I failed trying to pry his other hand from around Eros’ neck. Why wasn’t my voice reaching him?! It usually did when he lost his temper. If it wasn’t for him being an outrageously strong—and dangerous—pirate, I wouldn’t have been half as scared as I was to use the limited magic I knew on him. My thoughts were too scrambled to allow me to think properly, causing me to shout the first thing that came to mind in hope of helping Eros.
• “VIMUKU (release)!” I yelled. Suddenly Keith’s hands let go of his neck, but he was still determined to harm him. “RIIYA (shield)!” An invisible shield formed around Eros just as Keith managed to swipe his sword. Now for his anger issue. “SHIBI (calm)!” His whole body went limp and he stumbled back as if the wind just got knocked out of him. He leaned on the counter while I dragged the coughing Eros into my room and locked the door.
• He sat on the end of my bed and held his hand to his sore collar.
• “Eros?! Are you alright?! I’m so sorry about that!” I apologized, observing the red fingers marks that were now fading. Grunting, he gently shoved me off with his arm.
• “I’m *cough* fine.” He wheezed, his eyes watering up. He smiled weakly, but it disappeared when he coughed harshly again. I stood up from my bed and stomped over to my door, raging,
• “Ugh!!! I’m going to KILL that jerk for barging in unannounced and choking my boyfriend!” I snarled. I heard an even severer cough than before erupt from behind me.
• “Boyfriend?” he choked.
