"I'd die for you." Ash told me. His eyes held a serious look with sincerity. He stood in front of me holding my hand lose enough not to hurt me but tight enough not to let me go. I didn't want to have that guilt on my shoulders knowing someone would die for me, but I knew that if it came down to it, I'd do the same. To some people it may have seemed like it was just 'puppy-love' between Ash and I, but it was so much more -- it was true love.

"I don't want to even think of you dying." I admitted looking sadly into his eyes. "Don't look so sad. I didn't mean to upset you." he smiled at me and kissed me softly on the forehead. His kiss filled the hole in my heart after thinking of my true love dying. I blushed. "Ash..." I whispered.

Later Ash came to my house as he usually did on the weekend. We lied on my bed and watched TV. His arms wrapped around me. I felt so secure. He was so warm and comforting, and it made me want to sleep. I tried to fight back the urge. I ended up waking up a little while later. I had fallen asleep in his arms.

I looked up to see Ash staring down at me. There was a smile on his face, and I could even see it in his eyes. I felt myself blush a deep red. "I need to go down stairs for a minute." I excused. I always seemed to ruin romantic moments like that. He had a look of understanding on his face. At least he could be understanding. I was always so critical of myself.

A had a feel of worry come over me when I reached for the door knob. I hesitantly turned the knob. As soon as I opened the door, I was pulled out rapidly. I heard a click of a gun and pressed tightly to my head. My arms were being twisted and pined to my back.

I didn't know what to do, so I just cried. Ash rushed over to about a foot in front of me and the stranger holding the gun to my head. "If you come any closer I'll kill her." the stranger told Ash. He didn't seem to have much remorse in his voice, as if he didn't know what he was doing. Like his mind was being taken over by a being stronger than himself.

"Ash..." I cried. Ash didn't keep his eyes off me. He face looked angry but his eyes held a sadness in them. With the blink of an eye, Ash pushed me down to the ground. The gun went off, but I wasn't hurt. Ash was... He lie on the ground with a bullet hole in his chest. Blood stained his t-shirt.

I took the gun lying on the ground and picked up pointing it at the man. I shot him and then six more times. I had made sure he shed more blood than he had made Ash. Maybe he felt the half hearted feeling I had just felt shooting him when he had the gun to my head. He fell to the ground as did the gun in my hand.

I bent down to Ash with tears flowing even faster down my cheeks. I'd never known someone could cry as much as I was. "I told you I'd die for you." He smiled at me. His smile faded away and his eyes closed. "I love you, Ash." I said lying down next to him.
