    As he turned to run he sees something emerge from the shadows of the cavern in front of him.  He analyzes it for a moment before he finally realizes what it is.

    "The demon?!? " he says to himself as he watches the scaly crystallized body of the creature turn to flesh and the demons true appearance emerge in front of him.

    "Help!!!" cries Faust as the demon slowly walks towards him.

    "Who's there?" asks a familiar voice from the cavern entrance.  It was Reidel the villages best slayer coming back from his break.

    "Help!! It's going to kill me!!!!!!" cries Faust more terrified than ever now.

    The demon stops for a moment to study Faust then lets out a roar and leaps at him.

    "Aaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!" shrieks Faust.

    Faust feels himself being shoved aside and opens his eyes to see what had shoved him.  It was Reidel, finally getting back to his post.

    "Faust do you got to go and piss off everything that walks the face of this miserable world?" jokes Reidel as he forces the demon to the ground.

    But I........it..."

    "Hold that thought, Faust, where is Floyd?" asks Reidel.

    "Thats what I was trying to say, that demon he killed the professor," says Faust in an almost crying voice. 

    "Roooaaar!!!!" shrieked the demon as Reidel forced a Demonsbane dagger through its chest.

    "Oh really?" asks Reidel, "Well that demon wont be hurting anyone else, but I do suppose that this means I wont be getting paid for this job, seeing as my employer is now deceased."

    "Reidel you heartless bastard Floyd was your friend and your charge, and all you can think about is your money?!?" screams Faust now irritated by Reidel's attitude towards Floyd's death.

    "I.....I..didn't mean it like that, I...I..just....." Reidel says before he gets interrupted by a strange sound.

    "Uuuhhh.....hhhh..."
