As I sat in my little red plastic chair,I blended into all the other boys and girls in the circle sitting in little red plastic chairs.When it came to my turn I spoke out rather annoyed that I had to talk to the fat,old lady wearing that stupid knit sweater and her bifocals looking at me with that cheesy fake smile.

"Hi,My name is natalie and I'm a cutter"

"Hello natalie" the entire circle spoke in unisone.

"This week I cut 4 times,and I'm really upset about it because the whole reason  I'm here is to stop"

One thing I'm really good at is acting.I don't really care that I cut this week,If I did care I wouldn't do it.In fact I liked it.I like the sting,it feels cool.

"And why do you think you did that natalie?" the fat lady said

"Well,my dad went to boston with his step-kids and he left me here to rot with my mom"

The truth is,I'v never met my dad.He and my mom got in a fight and she dumped him and he jumped off a roof.And a week later my mom found out she was pregnant.So it's just me and my mom now.

"And how does that  make you feel natalie?" the fat lady chimmed in again.

"Hm well lets see..I cut 4 times this week.."

"Ok natalie,theres no need for sarcasm in this group"

"Sorry"

And with that my turn was over and it was someone else's turn.

"Hi,I'm travis,and I'm a cocain addict"

"Hi travis" everyone said,except me,I hated the whole idea of this group.It's stupid.And noone really cares about any of us anyway.

"I did not use since our last meeting" travis smiled while he was saying this,he had a great smile I just noticed.

The whole room clapped for travis and then that lady spoke again killing the slightly good mood I was in.

"How wonderful travis! Kids,you should take a good lesson out of travis's self discipline!"

The rest of the class I didn't really pay much attention.You know,same ole same ole,crack,herion,a few cutters,and the ever present 16 year old alchoholics.But there was this one girl that was really interesting,she was the last person to go,which may be why i was intigued,I was about to get out of there.

"Hi,my name is Jamie,this is my first meeting,I uhm,I'm an alchoholic"

"Hi jamie"

"I uhm,don't really know what to say exactly"

"Well,lets start with the last time you used" said the old fat lady.

"Uhm,maybe,15 minutes ago?" jamie said rather embarrased and yes,slurring abit with her words.

"Well,we'll work on that,won't we kids" the old lady said smiling at everyone in the room.

"Yea" jamie said looking down at her converse.

When group was over I walked up to jamie and introduced myself.

"Hi jamie I'm natalie"

"Oh no,your not gonna tell me how easy this stuff is our you?"

"..No.I hate this group,I think it's a waste of time"

"yea me to,My dad made me come here since he had a meeting or something"

"I don't really have a dad"

"but i thought..he wa sin boston?"

"Haha,so you actually bought that?"

"Well..up untill now,yes"

we both kinda chuckled and then I saw that travis guy looking at me.And the way he was looking at me made me feel uncomfortable.He looked familiar,but,I didn't realize who he was till he started walking towards me and jamie...
