Among the Clumsy 2

He leaned in and I flinched. Zach smiled and wiped something off my face. "What was on my face?"  I asked rubbing at it.

"It was just an eyelash!" he said handing me my crutches. I grabbed them and obviously had a confused look on my face. "Did I do something wrong?"

"Oh no!" I said. "I just thought you were going to do something else!" I could feel my face turning a bright red.

Zach laughed. "Well I could if you wanted me to!" he said. He leaned in and kissed me lightly on the lips. My knees gave and I fell. He caught me and gently stood me up again. "I guess I can't do that again. . ." he said.

"No, it's my fault." I said. "I just have never been kissed before because no one wants to go out with an accident prone girl!"

"So it was you I heard about!" he said. "The one that has too many scars to count, tripped in the fourth grade breaking your arm, fell down the stairs last week and broke you leg."

"Sam that bastard!" I said. Sam was the only one that knew about the fourth grade incident because I moved here in the 6th grade. "That little shit!"

"What?" he said. "Was I not suppose to know?" He looked down at me and smiled.

"No one is suppossed to know all that when they just move here!" I said. "Besides how did you find out all of that from Sam?"

"Umm. . .I'd rather not say!" he said. This perked my interest and I looked at him. The tips of his ears were turning red.

"What did he do?" I said. "Did he make you kiss him? He does that to everybody so that it's a fair trade for his information." This time his face turned red. "I guess I was right!"

"Just don't tell anyone please??" he said looking at me. My heart melted. "It would really mean a lot to me!"

"O-o-okay!" I stuttered. He hugged me and I stood their for a moment, dazed and confused. He let me go and I walked through the door. I came to my room and slid my card so that it would open. Zach held it open for me and I walked in. It smelt like it was freshly made.

"Thanks!" I said turning around. He leaned in quickly and kissed me again. Now I was in an even greater shock then before but my knees held me this time. He pulled away and walked out the door.

The door closed with me staring at it. I fell to my knees careful not to hurt my leg.
